I think Witter wins by decision. But if Harris comes in anywhere close to his best it'll be a tough fight. I still think Harris has got something left & wouldn't be at all surprised at an upset.

Holt maybe one of the best fighters in the division IMO. I think he schools Torres. I'd love to see Holt vs Malinaggi... would be a fight for the boxing purists!

    What I'd love to happen......

    Torres by KO
    Harris by first round KO

    What I think will happen........

Witter UD (in one of the most boring fights of all time)
    Holt UD

I think Harris will win this - he must have been suicidal about the way he lost the WBA belt in the first place, and he's had a couple of years in boxing exile because of it (Ricky Hatton rated Harris highly and challeneged him, whereas Witter he has never rated)

To explain, he lost to Mausa through KO and he looked hopeless, but apparantly he came into the fight several pounds underweight, and had done a 5 or 10 mile run or something daft before he entered the ring

Think he went completely mad, and Maussa who is nothing special at all made him look an idiot (which in fact he was)

I think Harris will be desperate to show what he can do when he is on form, and Witter is the unfortunate victim in the firing line who is gonna get sparked

Never seen Holt so cant say, but from what youve been saying he looks the one I would pick.

I like Vivian Harris, he's got a solid jab, goos speed but I have to question his punch and his chin. He usually struggles with guys who get up in his face, cause him problems and make him focus alot more than he would like too.
This is the ultimate antithesis of Witter who stays on the outside and then comes in with flurries and keeps his jab moving. The one man too beat Witter is Zab Judah who isn't disimilar to Vivian Harris. Styles make fights and I'd take Harris to win by UD.

Holt-Torres: Most people I have spoken too are backing Holt in this and they have good reasons too. He looked excellent against Isaac Hlatshwayo and Mike Arnaoutis. After putting Hlatshwayo down 3 times and TKOing David Diaz many people would be forgiven for thinking Holt is a puncher but he is certainly not having only KOed 12 out of 22 opponents and many of this opponents who have survived the distance like Andre Trunov (8-3-0), John Trigg (11-23-5) and Juan Carlos Escobar (3-2-5) had far from impressive records when he fought them. He is a bit loose with the blows below the belt, isn't a great finisher and has a suspect chin.

Torres' exposure came from flooring Miguel Cotto and despite not being as good as he looked there he is still a good fighter. He packs a good punch but not as good as his padded record suggests. His only loss has come against an elite fighter (Cotto). If Torres uses his hand speed it is very effective but sometimes makes amateurish mistakes and leaves his chin open in search of the big shot.

Here i'd back Torres to win by a late TKO.
Holt's a solid puncher, not a great puncher but he's definitely not featherfisted. And because of his speed the other guy has to worry about getting caught with something he doesn't see.

I just don't see much in Torres, in a rematch Cotto would have adjusted and hammered him. Of course I guess its possible that for whatever reason Torres would always be rough for Cotto, but I think it had a lot to do with Cotto being reckless and impatient.

But its not like I think its a lock, Holt seems chinny and Torres obviously has some power. Anything can happen there.

CC for the topic Pumafan,I think most, including me,forgot about these fights!Amazing how quickly things change,1-2 years ago,140 was a hotbed of talent!! I favour Holt over Torres but Torres power keeps him in the fight and isnt the fight in Columbia? As for Witter Harris,I have no idea but I think the loser will drop down the pecking order big time.
