We were rubbish against Namibia tho, we looked so so slack. Hickey's handling was terrible, O'Garas kicking was sub standard for club level and our Scrummaging was about as well orchaestrated as a bar fight.
However when we did pul it together u could see potential, particularily that drive that resulted in the penalty try.

England i was surprised with, i thought they wer gonna surprise us and come stormin for this tournament. I wouldn rule out france tho. Whats the saying about a wounded animal being most dangerous?

Agreed that Ireland looked awful against Namibia, but it may be just the lazy mentality of playing one of the supposed weakest nations in the tournament. I have noticed that Ireland more than any other team have a horrible tendancy to play to the level of the opposition, so who knows what we will see when they play France and Argentina.
Shane Horgan coming back may spark things a bit as well, he adds a lot of power to the backline... providing he is match fit!
England have been looking very sloppy for a while now... the talent is there, but they just don't seem to play well as a team anymore. They lack a Martin Johnson type figure to pull them out of the trenches these days...
France can never be counted out for sure. They are so hot and cold!
They could put in the performance of the tournament against Ireland or they could play even worse than they did against Argentina, it is always impossible to tell with them.

    I already have Paul O'Connell... I'm Irish.
    Hahahaha.

Sorry, I always try to stay objective when analyzing team performances, so I can see how my Irishness might not shine through to you. Éirinn go Brách!!!

Tomorrow will see the debut of the always flamboyant and exciting Fijians! Should be an exciting match between them and Japan, considering they both love to play open and expansive rugby.
Shame that Rupeni Caucaunibuca isn't playing for Fiji in this world cup... he lit it up in 2003 and almost single handidly beat Scotland. He is a complete genius on the field, but a total idiot off it... caught smoking weed and handed a 3 month ban which rules him out.
When he plays though... wow, most exciting player I have ever seen in my lifetime, maybe even more exciting than Lomu and Cullen.

Yeah, I had a great time in Galway while I was there... the place has changed a lot over the years I have been going. It has become very modernized, but still maintains its charms... great place.
I'm just outside Dublin city, in the suburbs... just inside the Meath border. Pretty good place, not too noisy but within easy reach of the city centre for the night life like you said.
Yeah, our football team surprised everyone this year, especially us! Never would have dreamed they would have been in the semi's at the start of the year... sorry about knocking you out on the way, haha.
The Connemara region is beautiful! Lots of awesome beaches along the Galway and Mayo coast, good for summer trips... I tried surfing a bit too there, good fun and the waves can get seriously big for those who are good enough. The beaches over here are flat, radioactive and polluted to hell, haha.

Do you head in to Dublin to watch the world cup matches? The matches are on at the perfect time to head into one of the sports bars...
N yeah i tried surfinng too but i was a disiaster! The one east coast beach that shocked me was Brittas bay in Wexford, on a really good day that place rivals any beach in the world!

I think you've got either the beach or the county wrong man, haha... Brittas bay is in Wicklow. Maybe you mean Tramore beach in Wexford? Either way, they are both really great beaches! Brittas could pass as a Caribbean beach on a good day, but it often gets very crowded... Tramore is in the same boat.
The nicest beach I have come across in Ireland is Keem bay on Achill island... it is like, horse shoe shaped, mostly quiet and secluded with crystal clear blue water. When I was swimming there a few years ago I was joined by a dolphin too, very cool.
    Keem bay:

I spend a lot of my time in Dublin because my college is there, but for sports I mostly go to a more local bar which is owned by Brian Peters, promoter of Bernard Dunne and I think now Andy Lee and John Duddy too... always good to see the fights there (except Dunne's last outing, haha). Brian was pretty down about Bernard after the Martinez fight, he was telling my Dad... he reckons Dunne was too complacent. But, he has big plans for the future for other Irish fighters, especially whatever ones will be boxing in Beijing at the Olympics next year. Think there will be a lot of "turn pro" offers made, hehe.

    I remember that.
Henson's kick from miles out was awesome... and his tackle on Tait practically lifted the crowd out of the stadium.

I haventactually met Brian yet, but im hoping i will in the future and im hoping one of them turn pro offers is for me!!!
I didn actually no that Andy was with Brian now, but Brian has the Irish pro scene locked so i guess u kinda have to be with him to get exposure.
