I think this is a step in the right direction finally for Woods.
terrible match up. tarvers over the hill. Woods needs to fight one of the other title holders.
Tarvers name is a valuable asset on any resume tho. It could propel Woods to stardom.
Nothing would propel Woods to stardom - he's just not the type.

Tarver would give him a nice big payday though which is what he deserves.
Boxing is a sport where anyone can achieve high accolades with work tho.
I wouldn't have thought Baldomir was the type to be a world champion or that Oscar De la Hoya was the type to go swanning around in womens clothing but there ya go.

Did you mean to quote someone else? I can't workout how that relates to my post

    Oh right,

But Woods is the IBF "world" champ. I would put the like's of Baldomir and Woods in the same boat. Remember Woods has already fought Roy Jones - before Roy lost the plot.

Current superstar fighters = Oscar, Hatton, Floyd etc .. guys that earn millions, Clinton would love a small portion of that.

I agree wholeheartedly Fenster no doubt, but boxing seems to be getting a lot more press recently in the UK. If Woods can beat a big name like Tarver on front of the British public (come on ITV!) i think he will receive merit.
To be honest Fenster there's a part of me really wants to see him do well, he's an increibly nice felllow and id love to see him being an ambassador to the sport, could help repair some of the damage Scott Harrisson did.
