Nino i totally agree with you mate Lennox Lewis would have got KO'd against a younger Mike Tyson. Lennox played it sneaky and fought Tyson when he was old and out of boxing desire and when Mike wanted a rematch he refused and retired like a pussy. Lennox you shuldn't have ducked a younger Tyson because that isn't a true champion you think you are a legend dont ya but the real legend is Mike Tyson! Mike Tyson in his twenty's would have Knocked U Out in 3 rounds!

    Is this even a question?

Wow...Vitali would make Tyson look like a 12 year old girl.

He would definately do A LOT WORSE then Lewis did to Tyson. No if's or and's about it.

I agree. I keep telling people that Lewis is a good boxer, but he is a conservative, arrogant, not-keeping-his-word, sissy British a******!!   Our British fans should love that! A sneaky, play-it-safe, crybaby prick!

The tyson of 5 years ago would have KOed Vitali in 1 round. Even the Tyson who fought Lennox would have Koed Vitali in 4 rounds. The tyson who quit against Mcbride would be Koed. Now as for the above posts....WTF? That is all that comes to mind. WTF? I remember when "Iron" Mike was interviewed after losing to Lennox and his first fight back, after KOing Etienne. Jim Gray told him he had a rematch coming up with Lennox soon and Mike said " If I have to fight Lennox again, then I am just going to retire" He was scared $hitless to face Lewis again. HAHAHAHAHAHA
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

No he wasn't. After the fight, he is the one that asked Lewis if they could do it again and Lewis made a gesture as if to say "maybe yes" to him. Lewis is known for telling people that he will give them an opportunity, then reniging on it the same way he did to Vitaly Klitschko. His arrogance and pickiness in boxing is one of the reasons why he would never go down as great as someone like Ali.

Tyson was shot five years ago too.

He would not have beaten Vitali any time after 1998.

No he still had enough left to beat Vitali. Plus Vitali despite saying otherwise would be intimidated and in awe of tyson back then. Before Tyson fought Lewis, he had only lost to Holyfield twice and Buster Douglas. It would have been about like Tyson Vs Savarese all over again. Vitali prob would have lasted a little longer though. After Tyson fought lewis and definately now, Vitali would KO his ass.

Here goes... This is going to Pi$$ the Tyson fans off. I was a huge Tyson fan back in the day. Yeah Tyson was a badA$$ and that’s what made him Tyson. But really go back and look at the fighters he fought when he was a steam roller. Tell me how many could be heavyweight champs today. ( Holmes in prime could and maybe Spinks ) besides that none of them…
Tyson fought a couple people but most where nobody's... Most ended their careers with not so good records.

    Trevor Berbick = 50-11-1

    James Smith = 44-17-1
    Pinklon Thomas = 43-7-1
    Tony Tucker = 58-7
    Tyrell Biggs = 30-10

Larry Holmes = 69-6 (was past his prime @ 39 years old)
    Tony Tubbs = 45-10
Michael Spinks = 31-1 ( finally a man with a good pro career and not older then egupt)
Frank Bruno = 40-5 ( Lost to every good fighter he ever faced )
    Carl Williams = 30-10
James 'Buster' Douglas = 38-6-1 ( Biggest upset in Boxing History ) O yeah and of the six L's Tyson was not of them ... :-)
    Henry Tillman = 25-6
    Alex Stewart = 43-10
    Donovan Ruddock 37-5
( fought him two times ) The went to prison

after he came back same story....fought half ass fighters and then when put up against the Real deal Holyfield Tyson was exposed and TKO'd in the first fight, then came back to make a ass of himself in the second fight... Then came Lennox which in my opinion Tyson should have retired after this one... then a lost to Williams and now McBride... What a shame ... Everyone wants to believe Tyson belongs in the top 10 fighters of all time... How sad it that when you consider the fighters of the past... That another post sometime down the road...

Not to say that Tyson didn't have the best of competition, Holmes, Spinks, Ruddock, and maybe even an in-shape Douglas could be champions today. Compare them to Ruiz, Byrd, and Lamon Brewster. Klitschko is about the only decent champion today. Hell, I'd give Bruno, Williams, Tucker, and Bonecrusher Smith a chance against the three heavyweight champions of today except for Vitaly. So, the point is that we can't blame Tyson either. No. He never fought the type of fighters as a Muhammad Ali (and nobody did), but he took advantage of what was there for him.

I'm just making a point that I don't think Tyson's skills lives up to everyone worship. However I must say he was exciting to watch. If we were talking about the most exciting fighters in history then Tyson would certainly be in the Top 5. If talking about the best fighters in history I might put him the top 20. Which is a good place to be but some disagree and some agree. I try not to be bias when looking at something like that because I was a huge fan of Tyson's and still am but he has hurt his legacy that he once had.

I'd definitely have to take Vitali. In fact I'd probably go to vegas and bet my house on it!

Who is the last top opposition that Tyson beat?

    How long ago was that?

Look and see how many times Vitali has been knocked out.....

I understand people being a die hard Tyson fan. I mean I love Arturo Gatti.. he has the same type of following. Tonight he fights PBF and I hope to God that he knocks him out, but logic tells me that Mayweather SHOULD outpoint him.

We gotta get real and look at Tyson for what he is. He's a has been... a long ago has been.
