Trust me on this one Ice,I know more about Bates then you could hope
He has nice side to side movement,he cant keep the pace he needs to,so as long as you keep him moving, which is his best skill,he breaks down
He's only a solid puncher,so he cant get you out fast with just one punch like Tua can,he needs to wear you down.
But against a higher level fighter he cant do that, because he's about 30 pounds too heavy
But he is signifigantly better then Tua at finding angles
He just cant show the stamina to take any advantage of that as long as he's that big
Tua is coming in one direction, where you are
When Tyson was good,he could do both of the above
Wow, when you put it that way Bates is a real monster!

I see he's been KO'd within two rounds his last 4 fights. It must be that great side to side motion that often gets him into the second round...

I think Tyson's biggest problem was a lack of heart and character. Teddy Atlas summed it up beautifully when he said he was the ultimate bully. As long as he was intimidating his opponents, he was unstoppable. When he got stood up to and met with resistance, he folded.

    Bring on the sad click...
No,I,didnt say he was a monster
I said he carried too much weight to take advantage of his biggest asset
That and to compound matters he was grieviously out of shape for the Golata fight
    Learn to read
And no Tysons biggest flaw was he stopped picking his way in so he could unleash his bombs
    Again bad training,and trainers
Learn to watch whats happening in a fight
Against Golata,Bates was trying to cash a large check
Which for an insuarance salesman from WV was quite large indeed,he went through the first round trying, and just like most Don King productions,he didnt seem to have anything left in the second
Amazing how that often happens when Don gets his claws in to a name fighter
Bates has only beaten 3 boxers with just about winning records his record is 21 wins 14 losses and has been stopped 9 times out of 14 losses why are we even debating this ?? Bates is a tomato can he does nothing better than Tua.
Ice,I break my ankle tommorrow, and then have my knee crushed with a hammer the day after,Ill still have better side to side movement then Tua
Ive pointed out Bates's flaws, and fighting as a heavy their more then signifigant
    Tua has his as well
