dude, i just saw the fight again for like the third time. pac fought the same fight he had with your boy morales. credit for morales for standing up being outgunned and was firing back. that made that fight more pleasant to watch. this fight, barerra was "punching" while sitting on his rocking chair. man, arent you proud of morales he went out with a bang. thats why he and pac has respect for each other coz they're the same quality when it comes to guts and sheer determination to fight.

Im giving Pacquiao his props i haven't seen the fight yet Gamo.
Icecold theres nothing to give Pac props for . He boxed really bad .

At the point we went off air Barrera was winning the fight . The commentary and studio experts had Barrera ahead but we returned in teh 12th seeing Mab with a massive gash and summat about him being deducted a point . the margins against him were wide but he erased the memory of Nov 03 but staying on his feet and seeing out the fight without ever looking close to going down .
lay off the booze man. i just saw the fight again. it was clear why mab hit pacman on the break. coz his cheek got busted wide open. and dont say headbutt.. i had to replay that sequence frame by frame coz i, too, was convinced that mab and pac's heads collided. NOT a chance! pac did what he had to do. and man up coz you said pac was gonna get a one sided beating. maybe you should realize by now that all that liquor messes with your mind!

very true. I was thinking actually of starting a thread on Morales and Barrera regarding this issue.

Good fight, congrats to manny. Been a MAB fan for ages and wanted him to win but thats what age does.

Would have been interesting to see a prime barrera (like the one in barrera vs marales 1,2) vs manny. what you guys think on outcome?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Pac-MAB 1 held in between MAB-EM 2 and MAB-EM 3 where Marco won both of them?... That should be Marco's peak.

I think you are right PAcstraight. MAB vs Pac was in between the two fights.

Nice of you to bring that up.

Youre probs right - but my point is a prime barrera vs manny would have been great. As in first fight between them barrera underestimated Manny and had also been through some wars in his career, not sure but was on 60+ fights etc so wasnt at his peak. This fight in my opinion was a no brainer, barrera is washed up now, but if he prepared like he did for this fight for the first one could have been a different story. But again full props too Manny as he is awesome.

I actually said before that probably Barrera lost the first fight because of shock factor. He could have underestimated Pacquaio during their first fight. That's why he was helpless. But again BArrera's preparation made him look worse this time. He became "afraid" to fight all the way and he will retire with Pacquaio as a thorn growing bigger each day. I don't know how Barrera will live with the fact that he will go down in history as a sore/sour loser.

    still I respect Barrera.
