Sure Mayweather was out of shape, but even an out of shape Mayweather would beat 95% of the contenders out there with his athleticism at those lower weights. About the timing, Mayweather's timing is as good as anyone's but he doesn't have the footspeed he use to so he can capatalize on it like he once did. He use to be able to leap in from four or five feet out in the blink of an eye, but now he is too heavy to move like that. I think that Tszyu would have been lost trying to find Mayweather, and that he just didn't have the speed to catch him.
Don't get me wrong,I think he has top 10 greatest defence of all time in the history of boxing. It's amazing.Period. I just want to see him fight more dangerous guys to test him more but that's an entirely different issue.Good point about the being out of shape sparring, you could be right.

I was gonna say Stevie Johnson but Headson beat me to it.

I really never thought very highly of Spadafora, the guy was very lucky to get a draw against Dorin. He was a good solid fighter but I don't see a prime in shape Mayweather having very many problems with him. Out of the group I'd say Casa, couldn't see Freitas giving him that many problems.

Would of been very interesting to see these fights i would of loved to of seen em how come they didn't happen ??
I would have loved to have seen him fight Paul "the Pittsburg Kid" Spadafora or Kostya Tszyu.

Spad was just to jail bound to get in their with Floyd. They sparred & even trained together at one point & at one point Paul got the better of Floyd...but you could tell that it was Floyd out of shape & not Floyd committed. Floyd would have probably murdered Paul just as easily as he would have Kostya...& I truly believe that he would have handled Kostya as easily as he did Chop Chop or Brusseles.

    Good thoughts though, ICB.

I just really didn't care for either of those fighters all that much.

I did like Freitas back in the day...but he, IWO, lost to Casamayor & the way he took the Corrales beating...ahhhhhhhhh...whatever...& as far as Casamayor goes...he was & still is a dirty fuckin fighter.

I've never EVER liked him nor have I wanted to watch him fight.

    Mayweather would've beaten Freitas handily.

Same goes for Spadafora. Some random youtube sparring clip means nothing.

Casamayor would have been a very interesting fight, not sure why it never happened.

Mayweather/Tszyu never had much chance of happening, because Floyd had a long term deal with HBO and Tszyu fought on Showtime.
