so, Barrera is a bitch hitting while breaking and manny isn't for trying to get a point deduction.

never said anything like that. in boxing, what barrera had done is sometimes acceptable and tolerated. Though, honestly, I believe Barrera deserved the point deduction.

    headbutt.
    no warning.

    hit on break
    fake injury
    no warning, take a point.

Not going to argue with you.

i heard some rumor that Manny headbutted Barrera. I haven't seen it. Barrera's camp (according to news, PDI 10/10/07) is now saying the cut of Barrera was caused by a headbutt. why is it that they are complaining now? to justify the hit while on break? Barrera himself did not complain about it because he knew the cut was caused by a legit punch.

Sometimes a little acting is necessitated to ensure things don't get out of hand.
Other examples of fighters doing this are:
Ricky V Castillo; overacted when low blowed,
    Zab V Cotto
    And IMO PBF V Zab

let me just clarify Missy. headbutts are difficult to identify as intentional. when fighters fight they can't control and sometimes they can't see where their heads will hit.You know that.

But Barrera's punching while on break is clearly intentional because he clearly knew that it was on break. some say, he did it to recover from that punch that staggered him in the 11th round. I don't know if it's true but Barrera did also something like that during MAB vs Pacman 1.

your not actually trying to compare the two are you?

if someone sucker punches you in the face, how would you feel?

wouldn't you want that person to get what they deserve?

pac just made the ref do what he should do, fwock any warning when someone clearly suckered punch you becuase he can't hit you as much as your hitting him.

isn't it the same as diving in football to get someone booked or sent off? Explain how it isn't? Better still don't bother

I even think the point penalty was extremely harsh.

Manny has seriously got a bad case for the amateur dramatics!!

Had to be done, Barrerawould have laid it on thick otherwise.

Not much time to lay it on thick really. And its hardly as though Barrera was in desperation mode in this fight.

It was relatively mild stuff. The ref should have let it go.

One more round to go and more of the same really.

If Pac was remotely hurt at that stage of the fight, and was feeling remotely tired, it was the right thing to do. He grabbed some time which Barrera could have used constructively, he ensured the points in the bag and imo guaranteed that Barrera couldnt foul anymore.
