Bilbo,I'd like to add to your list of fighters that could be ahead of Mora:
Sebastian Sylvester,Amin Askainen,Lorenzo,Sam Soliman maybe? Khoren Ghevor?Raul Marquez?Howard Eastman?
They've all faced pretty decent opposition/fought for world titles.

Dont you dare. the differences between them are so blatant im suprised you would be confused as to why pavlik is in the p4p debates. and mora shouldnt be any near 11th for rankingsOriginally Posted by Bilbo
The only thing that these two fighters have in common is the year they started. both in 2000.
HOWEVER!!!
Pavlik not only has fought MORE than mora(32 vs 20), pavlik knocked them out. Also mora has had only 3 fights scheduled for 10 rounds or more.
mora had the chance to fight taylor BEFORE pavlik. But He ran, pavlik didn't.
If (and i wish) when peoples rankings are judged, the way they got where they are should play a heavy role. And if it did, more should be way down.
Pavlik fights anyone, fights often, knocks them out
Mora fights no one, runs from competition, and sd/ud's the few he fights.
to me, the level of competition is NOT similar, due to the fact pavlik has had more 10 rounds, more fights a year, and has done more with the competition he has faced than mora ever did, or will

your pretty accurate there.
I have been around boxing for the majority of my (young) life. And i have seen some hard working individuals not make it, and not necessarily due to lack of talent. I have seen many fighters lose families, houses, their lifes because of 1 dream. To have crack at a world champ. Sergio mora Sh!t on all of him, when he turned down JT. He has done ABSOLUTELY nothing to earn a that shot, and IMO he will never do anything to earn a shot at a champ, he is just not good enough. And to decline a shot at the champ when your 19-0, and a majority of your wins against people with winning records was on a fwockin reality tv show. Yes a nerve was touched, and its out of respect of the fighters who lost everything for that shot, and who probably deserve more than him, yet they never got it.
I will forever be completely critical of sergio mora and fighters like him. Not because he beat a local guy in my area, but because he needs to act like the professional athlete he signed up to be. And if he is not ready to, move on chose a different profession.
