the real deal would clean up the division again, at crusier he was the boss, great energy workrate, solid chin, and a solid punch with good skills which he left behind when he went up, true number 1 the division has had
3 rounds come on- let's not get silly. My comment was maybe tongue in cheek but at the sametime I was watching Holyfields very impressive march through the Cruiserweights He beat and I watched at the time; Tillman and Rickey Parkey etc - he beat them impressively but they are hardly the stuff of legends.Originally Posted by WelshDevilRob
Dwight Muhammad Qawi was a legend he was the first man to drop Michael Spinks and gave him tough arguement Holyfield beat legend like Qawi in only 11 pro fights and in rematch destroyed him in 4 for you to even say Haye would beat Holyfield is absurd Haye has shown suspect chin and suspect stamina in the past he wouldn't last 5 rounds with Holyfield a 40 year old Thompson took Haye's best shots and stopped Haye in 5 what makes you think Holyfield who had one of the best chins ever in the sport of boxing can't take Haye's shots ??
David Haye has judgement day against Mormeck coming up. Mormeck is a worthy champion and very good fighter - if Haye wins that which is not certain then I rest my case.
Beating Mormeck doesn't mean he could beat Holyfield don't be silly Mormeck isn't in Holyfield's class.
I agree with all your comments LG except Holyfield being top 5.Originally Posted by Lords Gym

I think these 5 fighters are all rated higher than Holyfield at Heavyweight but no doubt Holyfield was great Heavyweight and exciting to watch Holyfield really got me into the sport and i thank him for that.

I Love a good sense of humor but that is lunacy.
Holyfield at cruiser would calculate and Ball up hayes like he was dirty laundry.I like Hayes but come on .....![]()
I think a prime Holyfield could have given any other P4P Heavyweight at their prime a good fight and beat many of them.
He was that good.
Well ice the other name i put above Holyfield would have to be Lennox i think he would of beaten Holyfeild when ever they fought to be honest pulse he was a more dominate heavyweight Holyfield had his ups and downs more often then Lennox Lewis had more ups and down and between him and George it is a pretty close to me who is at the spot they both were pretty equal in accomplishments in my view of things
holyfield beats everyone of them in his prime right now. haye would get ruined, i think prime mormeck and enzo mac would give him his toughest tests...
but to be fair enzo and haye havnt hit their primes yet.
I don't want to discuss this
it's bad enough him fighting in his forties never mind contemplating him still being active in another four decades time![]()
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
I don't see him doing what everyone thinks.. He's slow on the draw in the heavies. Cruisers would be even faster and though they are not as big there is no substitute for age. I think he's a little punchy. If he fights the top guys in the Cruiser weight class he gets beat by dec or late stoppage.
Holyfield-Mormeck would be a good fight, not now of course, but they had similar styles. Would be a war but Holy would win.
Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
I think people give Evander more credit than he deserves at cruiser. There were a few guys that wobbled him at that weight. I felt Quawi won their first, but it ruined him because he was the older man. Holyfield wasn't some invincible man at cruiserweight, he was still fine tuning his skills. He didn't reach his peak until heavyweight. However, there haven't been very many good cruiserweights especially right now. Evander would beat anyone out there, but I think some of these guys could stun him before getting steam rolled.
I kind of have to agree with you. The majority of his career has been at heavyweight and while he was a great cruiser, he wasnt there very long. He really only fought 2 great cruiserweights in DeLeon and Quai. And they werent necessarily at their best either. I have no doubt that if he stayed there longer he would have continued dominating but he moved up. I think guys like Mormeck as I mentioned above and even Bell could give him some problems though I think he would beat them.Originally Posted by Taeth
