Right you are chief. He stuck around too long and had some "padding" in his early career but was a good tactician/boxer-puncher.He wouldnt shy away from a firefight either(2 insane wars with pompey come to mind).Technically he had a Trinket(NABF) but the big one eluded him.

One of the WORST decisions Ive seen was his Bout with Larry Barnes.Guess I hold grudges to long

David Tua, kayoed former champs in Ruiz, Moorer, Rahman and Maskaev but himself never got a title
I wish Tua becomes champ before he retires.

Charley Burley This guy was ducked like the plague even from Robinson i believe Archie Moore said once *People always ask me who was the best fighter i fought i always say Marciano because thats what people want to hear but really it was Charles Burley because he whooped my a** in my prime.
I find it amazing that David Tua never won an alphabet title. That's hard to do in todays sport.

This might be a bit premature, but Edison Miranda. I know he's moved up to 168, and I hope he can surprise me, but I don't see him winning a title at super middle.
I love his attitude, charisma, and his come forward style. I think he also demonstrated a good chin and a huge heart in the Pavlik fight.

At HW, I would agree with you about Quarry, and add George Chuvalo, from the same era as Quarry, as favorite of mine. Fought Ali tough twice, beat Quarry and fought all the other greats of that generation. I loved Henry "Quick" Tillis, too.

Others - Mickey Ward, how can you not love Irish Micky? Yory Boy Campas, for sure. He was so close but could never break through against the best.

Damn, I forgot about Chuvalo, my bad. And how could I forget my boy Ward. One of my favorites and ironic I left him out and put Augustus in when Ward/Augustus was a damn fun fight to watch. Thanks for reminding me

I was a big Mesi fan. You could tell he really wanted it in the Jirov fight. But that damn Jirov took it out of Mesi that night, even though Joe won. There was an accidental BIG back of the head punch by Jirov. I think Mesi could have made it far, but would have never beaten Vitaly, maybe Wladimir.

I'm a big Margarito fan, and I feel he's been jobbed out of big fight deals plenty of times. I still don't think he's had his chance at becoming the best (WB whO?). I do feel he didn't go all out in the 12th of the Williams fight. So I have to hold that against him and I hope he learns his lesson.

I just have to say it, there is no replacement for Erik Morales.

I remember I liked Kassim Ouma, he used to punch with authority and output like no other. Now he seems to just like the attention of just being in the ring.

Also, I hate it when I see young primising stars just getting crumbled by a vet. Sometimes I like it, most of the time I root for the "new order" of young boxers.

Smokin Bert Came within 1 or 2 Punches(so they say) Vs Real deal. His "title" was not literal ,look at all the Champs he fought he faulterd bad. "smoking" Indeed. Funny as sh!!! guy though.
Lopez was in the Golden Era of Light heavys.Had Saad Muhammad Going In 7th or 8th but Saad was concrete.Gave Galindez all he wanted.....He had to wait for the IBHOF before he got his Title.
Ayalas A Absolute Arsshole.frankly after I heard Of Incidents I cheered Campas as he Beat the Dog squeeze out of his Comebacking azz.Yeah he had potential but He Farked himself........but Now hes "Bubba #2"
Micky ward no doubt......Think he got cut vs Phillips and got Screwd??
Bojado was never meant to be..

I liked him in the ring as a fighter not as a person.
    2 different things.

Spot on Jeff Bert was very close to taking out Evander what a good fight that was. He also had Moorer out in the 1st round but just couldn't finish him off. He also dropped Moorer in the 5ht round and then Moorer took his ass out in that same round.
I agree on Lopez man he was in some tremendous era of Light Heavys and fought some of the best guys then.
Ayala is more then an asshole but he liked him as a fighter he had all the tools in the world to be something special and he threw it all away.
Mickys one of me favorites hes fights against Green, Quinonez, Burton, Zab & Gatti are all fights he gave all he had.
Bojado was overhyped BIIGGG TIME and just took a shit.
