I think there is about a 95% chance the fight will happen...

B-Hop is fighting for money now, not glory.....

Calzaghe is by far his biggest mony fight...

To bad we will never see Calzaghe for free again

PPV is the worst thing to happen to boxing, other than don king maybe

Calzaghe by a wide points margin.

Hopkins hasnt got the workrate nor speed to deal with Calzaghe.

I think Hopkins has great chance. He slowed Wright's high work rate. I see no reason why he can't do the same to Calzaghe. Will he win? Not sure. Age will be a factor. So Hopkins will need to make it a foul-fested street fight. If he can. Than he has a great chance. Cuz he ain't winning on activity.

It would a holding nightmare. Hopkins would bore me to sleep with all the holding he does.

Calzaghe will make pace here and Lead.
Pride and confidence will bring him to that force the pace mode....If he walks in on Hopkins he gets folded up in chess match with sharpshooter grand-daddy Hopkins.
In between his gutsy burst's,(Joe's) Hopkins can still exploit gap's and make his feet fumble with angels and counters to a Hopkins win....Imo

Like VD said, age might very well be a factor; so no point in the fight to me. If Joe whoops him he'll get no credit from all the "experts". Makes plenty of sense for Hopkins as it just adds money to his retirement plan, and obviously Joe would make a boatload to, so maybe that's motivation enough for Joe to fight B-Hop next year, as he should be able to finish with big $ fights. I'll watch it, only to see Joe. Hopkins held so much with Wright there were times I thought he fell asleep, I know I did. Would be intriguing if only to be on this forum and listen to all the build-up. I'd say Joe wins by ud, no k..o.'s in this one.

There was no pint in Calzaghe-Manfredo. Yet it still happened

You're right, for sure. That was a stupid fight for real, the fact it was made and the fight itself. But I never gave Joe credit for beating a bum either. Would much rather see Hopkins than Manfraudo anyday. From a $$$ point of view Hopkins/Calzaghe makes perfect sense.

I like this geriatric fight. I'll take Hopkins by dec.Or
if Calzaghe does that Jorge Paez hands in pockets s!!! and reacts as opposed to effective aggression .........Hopkins retires with 3 belts at 3 Wt. classes.
Calzaghe deserves respect but Hopkins fight a must IMO.For BOTH!!!

Does every single one of Joe's fight have to be scrutnized

Why did Mayweather fight gatti didnt everyone know he was going to win...

I see people is already giving hopkins an out... 24 hours ago VD would have said how B-hop would whip Calzaghe A$$, but after seeing what Calzaghe did to Kessler, Hopkins seems older

hopkins is a legit top 5 P4Per anyone who can beat winky convincingly isnt to old to fight..

Calzaghe combos to hopkins face has alot more to do with calzaghe winning than hopkins age...

hopkins is the same now (or better) than ever... he has adapted his style with age and has much more energy at the end of fights than the younger fighters (Taylor and winky) he has faced... and calzaghe will be 36 when they fight....

calzaghe will beat hopkins because he is better than hopkins...

Hopefully Hopkins will agree to the fight, but he'll probably duck Calzaghe again. Calzaghe will probably end up fighting the Taylor-Pavlik winner.

I haven't seen the fight of JC vs KEssler but I pick JC to win on pint because he has too much energy than B-Hop since both are smart

Who you think voted Hopkins in this poll? I did. I think Hopkins has a great chance to beat Calzaghe. It just won't be with activity. Cuz Hopkins can't go 12 rounds at high gear at his age. But he don't need to win. Like he did with Trinidad, Tarver and Wright, Hopkins will find a way to win.
