    Fun to watch? Sure.

Best fight ever? HA! Good one, Brian Kenny.
I dont see how anyone can criticise technique now with all the calzaghe fans saying his technique is great when hes fuckin sloppy as

I am confused why no one mentioned the 2 punches Bika landed while Codrington was on the ground?

Did anyone else see it? No warning, no mention, I thought Teddy would have at least mentioned it. If Codrington landed 2 more after Bika went down, he wouldn't have gotten up.

Great fight. I just felt that Bika was punching him in the back of the head and never got warned, plus 2 shots when the guy is clearly on the ground. Either way it was a great fight. Codrington showed he has a good chin. Took some serious punches.

Is it me or do fighters on the contender never have head movement. Do they put that in the contract? Jaidon is supposed to be a good boxer, but 0 head movement. Bika's the same. Goes all the way back to the 1st season. Manfredo ate every punch thrown at him the first show, then when it's over gets with Roach and starts moving his head and slipping punches.

    What's the deal?

Yes, I saw the 2 punches and I was about to comment about this on the other thread about FOTYS....
This reminds me awful a lot of Zarates loss to Gomez and the same thing no ref intervention no point deduction no warning... NOTHING!!!

a man in combat the adrenalin gets the best of you .. the ref should have been in closer. these things will often occur when the ref is miles from the action . its hard to pull the reins back on the horse.

I have seen fighters get dq'd for it. While I didn't want a dq some warning or something would have been nice. Also those were very late, and it's obvious he was down. It's not like he took a knee and wasn't all the way on the ground. He was laying on his side when Bika threw 2 more punches. Just very odd that he wasn't even warned.

LOL Yeah, I did see a moment of what looked like sheer panic from Calzaghe in the second round or so.

i think he was not warned because the ref felt responsible for it... ?? i see your point it was a clear foul

Whats dissapointing about this season of the contender is that there were no surprises. Most of the people on this forum thought Bika would go all the way from the start. Codrington and Soliman did well as expected also. There really were no real upsets this year. I think that is the downside of mixing in alredy established fighters like Soliman and Bika.

As glad I am that Bika won, those shots he landed{with clear intention}while Jaidon was on the ground was absolute b.s. They should have at the LEAST, taken a point away. He didn't even get so much as a warning, very unprofessional all around. Yeah, and Bika's wife is a horror show, eeeeewwwwww :P Maybe he can buy a new wife now with the money.

jaidon thinking he could stand in front of bika and slug was just plain silly, to think you are stronger than a guy with muscles in his eyebrows was codringtons mistake.

I think its an upside, some of it. Some of them were contenders going nowhere really so it was time they stepped up and fought each other.

I would rather see someone like Andre Berto, Andre Ward and Andre Dirrel on the Contender.

They should add two weight classes with different prospects in each. Would be more exciting to have two contender champs imo.
