You will find that simply by following the rule of always keeping your opponent in mind when you do your training will change the way you train 100%. You will naturally reduce the excess in some areas and begin to focus more on things that matter most. As you now have a clear and direct goal which all things must become conducive to, or be shed. You know its funny about boxing because its always little things - little tweaks and little corrections - on what you do which make great impacts. Little things like what you do with your feet can mean the difference between a knock out punch or an annoying bump. Little things like how you think, the difference between winning and losing.
