Not only pro, but college football as well has a higher number of deaths per 100,000 people than boxing. More people die/get injured driving a car on a daily basis than boxing has in a year yet you see them still contently cashing in on newer models and higher gas prices. How many people die/get permantly injured when a surgeon messes up a surgery? Tell them to work on their stuff before coming after something else.Originally Posted by PRIDE OF BOSTON

If boxing and the UFC are banned they will just go underground and continue without any regulation. Why not ban super size fast food, cigarettes, etc., they are responsible for more deaths than anything. It's the typical knee-jerk reaction. Instead of accepting the fact that combat sports will continue to exist and try to make them safer and better regulated the medical community instead sticks its head in the sand and hopes legislation will solve the problem by eliminating it.
