I stand by my comments, overrated but I will say the duet with K.M is miles better than hearing Slade everytime you walk in to a shop round christmas.

as for them been overrated, everyones entitled to there opinion but just check out the
lyrics to there songs, for an alco his lyrics are amazing(imo)

Actually hes one of the original 1977 Punk Rockers.The whole idea of the Pogues was to see if they could meld traditional styled music with punk speed and ethic,the original name of the band was Pogue Mahone,Celtic for "kiss my a$$" but their label made them shorten it. Shane just happens to write good lyrics

Oh cry me a river,you guys get the Pogues and Slade around Christmas,here in the states we're stuck with Elmo And Patsie and that awful Paul McCartney song
Which is why I make a point of listening to the Damned and the UK Subs around Christmas,its a soothing antidote
