If he gets KTFO,he may retire or just fight in LITTLE ROCK for a while. He already said interviews a while ago, that he did not intend to carry on for a long time.A KO loss may add to that, and personally,I think he's lost his drive. He's made his $$$.Been unified champ and beaten 2 HOF.

opened it up and figured I'd find an article or a quote from Taylor. Simple as that

Pavlik is a wrecking machine, but with each passing fight, he is also more vulnerable. Remember he took a licking himself in his last fight. If any current Middleweight can beat him in his next fight, it is Taylor.
But thats the thing though he can't win another belt at Middleweight because Sturm and Abraham won't be willing to come to USA and Supermiddleweight champs like Bute even though he only just won the belt is very skilled and Mundine is also very skilled it will be hard for Taylor to win a belt should he lose to Pavlik in the rematch.
I think Pavlik will beat JT easier this fight than the last... that being said who knows how good Pavlik is? he might be a top 5 P4p, and we just dont know it yet...

And i think that JT is still probably a top 10-12 P4P regardless if he does get KO'd again...

This is to ICE: i think JT would go to europe, take a pay cut, and KO sturm or abraham relatively easy, and i am not taking them lightly... but I think JT would gladly go overseas to fight for a title as a challenger..

but he will go to SMW 168 and JT will instantly be the top 2/3 fighters in the division and might be the top fighter if calzaghe changes divisions...

lets remember that JT fought at B-hops and winkys level for 3 fights and fought pavlik even better and still got ko'd. pavlik's power is what is his kriptonite, and no one at 160 or 168 has pavlik power, JT at his best could beat ANYONE from 160-175...

i think JT will be just fine after he gets KO'd by pavlik again, although he might start running early if he gets caught, and if JT does beat pavlik and continues to improve i dont see JT losing for a long time...

dont forget ICE how close he came to KOing pavlik in the 2nd and getting back into the top 10 P4P

Actually, I don't see whay a loss in the rematch would end his career. He would just be another guy who found somebody that he can't beat. Heck, Shane lost to 2 different guys twice, and Oscar lost to Shane twice.

Closer to home, Taylor beat Hopkins twice, and BHop went on to do good work after that. That's a good example for him. Jermain can stay at 160 , if he can make the weight, and fight the up-n-comers...or he can go to 168 for Green, Calzaghe, etc.

Wouldn't you carve out an hour for Taylor-Kessler?

A taylor-Winky rematch should be attractive to BOTH guys right now.

I know I'd carve out a few hours for Taylor at 168: Kessler, Miranda, Andrade, Pavlik again if he makes the move. Whether he can do it at 168 with those guys, which I think he can with the exception of a possible Pavlik fight at SMW, or Kess. I don't want to put words into ICE COLD'S mouth, but I think he may be asking what will Taylor do if he loses in the same fashion to Pavlik in the rematch as he lost the 1st go round; will he mentally be able to continue his career. You mentioned Hopkins and Mosley moving on after losses, but Taylor seems to be more mentally unstable than those 2 aformentioned fighters, and another severe loss like what he took from Pavlik may take JT mentally out of the game, seeing as how he'd never been ktfo or even put on the canvas before Pavlik came knocking. Guess time will tell, and he may redeem himself with Pavlik, though I think he'll lose.

Add in Bika, Codrington, etc, etc to the list of potentials. Jermain will have to re-invent himself as a more exciting fighter if he isn't going to win.

You can win boring. You can't lose boring. That makes you Zahir Raheem.

I will say this...a little bit back...I think after he beat Hopkins the 2nd time he was talking about how he'd accomplished his goal & that he was going to retire because there was no one else out there to fight...guess he forgot Pavlik?

    I remember that

If he get's sparked out again by Pavlik or for that matter just looses period regardless of how it happens, I'm gonna say he gives it a go at Super Middle if his debut goes well there then I can see him making some fights there. After all the other up and comers will want to fight him as he holds reputable ground in the game.

I said this after the Winky fight that I just didn't see JT all there it's like his mind is else where and I just don't get the feeling the kids 100% fully committed to the sport. As Wack said when hes been interviewed it's like he was already talking about retiring after beating Hops twice. I will say this should JT retire without ever championing again and or making some kind of imprint in the sport I'm writting him off and listing him in the under achievers lists. Along side Bojado, Grant, Ayala, Ibeabuchi.

I dont see Taylor Beating Pavlik. Those type of knockouts can haunt a fighter
All brass for Next fight taking the rematch though.
I really dont see much he can change and something tells me His ego and urge to "rebound" with tempered aggresion will lead to a brutal ko loss and He'll do no better at 168 Imo.

Spicoli, just to clarify something here when you say "brutal ko loss" you mean more brutal then the 1st time around?
    Or
    Just brutal ko?
