Well let's be honest NC, 99% of people out there hear skinhead and they're going to jump to some conclusions pretty quick. TM could have explained "real skinheads" in the 1st place to avoid confusion.

Very true they should spread the word about who they really are and what they actually belive, out here most people that i know would see something like that going on in some club or whatever and just start letting shots ring out (no smarter in my opinion).

It used to be a working class thing,where regardless of colour,we had a hell of alot more in common with each other then we'd ever have with the posh tits in the limos that drove by while we got on with it.

It was a bit before my time (and we were overseas when I was a kid), but I have some older friends who were British skinheads and they have told me that all the music actually was derived from Ska and Reggae. I know some black guys who were skinheads too.

It mainly derived out of the Hardcore Punk scene,though there were some Oi/Two Tone skins here as well.
There really wasnt a racist skin scene in the states until the Time article,and Geraldo Rivera show did pieces on what a scourge racist skinheads were
