Well I could certainly see Hatton giving Cotto some problems early on in the fight, but again Cotto would only let Hatton do his deed and IMO Cotto would get in on the fight from like the 5th round and on and beat Hatton.
Hatton would know that his best chance is to get Cotto early which means maul, ruff up, forearm, pushing off with the elbows all of that to get Cotto early on.

Pernell, I will assume that when you say top Welters you mean top 10 (Unless you worded that wrong)

I'm not sure how you have the Welters rated but I think theres 3 top 10 Welters Hatton would definitely have a good shot at.
    Gomez
    Isaac
    Zab

I could def. see Hatton beaten these 3 guys.

Oh i agree Hatton would beat Lower Tier of the top 10 Welterweights. But i mean the elite Welterweights like Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, Williams, i really can't see Hatton winning against fighters i mentioned.

He would have beaten cotto at 140 IMO

Cotto is too much of a monster at 147 altho Mosley did say he didn't have that much pop. Physically he would probably be a little too strong tho.

I think Hatton would beat Mosley.....i wasn't impressed with him at all against Cotto. He didn't show much in the second half of the fight and Hatton notoriously comes on stronger. Only thing is, Cotto has already beaten Shane so Hatton wouldn't get much props for it baring in mind people whinge about him beating other older fighters (castillo, tszyu)

It's all irrelevant anyway because no matter what happens next saturday, Hatton will go back down to 140.
Mosley come on in the later rounds i don't understand your comment ??
Well i will have to watch the fight again (it's still on my sky plus planner - geek )

but from what i remember....he looked pretty gassed out after the first 4 or 5 rounds and he almost had a Judah sorta look about him.....sort of.

The way his mouth was wide open just gave me the impression that either Shane's fitness wasn't all that, or Cotto took something out of him
Mosley won most of the rounds in the later stages, Cotto was the one backing up Mosley was pursuing Cotto. Infact Mosley in his entire career has always finished strong just like he did in Cotto fight. But what about Hatton's stamina recently ?? when is the last time you see Hatton finish strong in 12 round fight ??
well ice, i'm re-watching it now and were in the 8th n Mosley's mouth is wide open and his demeanour has gone.....his eyes look glazed and he looks nackered.

to be honest i think late on cotto gave the rounds away rather than mosley coming on strongly.

interesting what the commentator has just said as well

'did you see what shane said there?'
'yeh, he immediately knew what round they were going into'
'he's tired, he's going into survival mode'
'yeh thats what happens when a boxer starts counting down the rounds, that's what it usually means, he's just trying to survive'

i guess we shall find about hatton's stamina next week. i'm under the impression that he will be fitter than ever to be honest.....but point taken ICE.
