Dan Rafael of ESPN (whose info I trust) is reporting that the more likely scenario is a doubleheader in April where Dawson fights Glen Johnson, and Tarver fights Jeff Lacy. Of course, Lacy has to win this weekend to make it happen.

I'm not a huge fan of Rafael but he usually gets his news spot on(although he's always a littl behind everyone else!) I like that double header and the winners could fight each other. I fancy Jeff over Tarver and Chad over Glen.Originally Posted by SweetPea
That's not bad, Johnson could still test Dawson.Originally Posted by SweetPea
Have to wait and see what Lacy looks like. He wouldn't be a very big 175 pounder though.
Well thats just as good, Johnson would give Dawson a tougher test than Tarver imo, his non stop pressure will test Dawson and we will see what Dawson is made of.Originally Posted by SweetPea
Lacy vs Tarver should be a good match up aswell Tarver's height and reach will give Lacy fits but for some strange reason i favor Lacy in this one.
Boxingtalk's also saying Dawson-Johnson looking likely for April 12
No mention of Lacy-Tarver but it says Dawson-Johnson would be in Tampa. Pretty sure that's Lacy's hometown right and think they had the Reid fight there.
Both Lacy and Tarver are from Tampa/St. Pete area.Originally Posted by OumaFan
I agree. I'd pick Johnson over Tarver for sure if they were to fight again. I have a bad feeling Johnson beats Dawson as well (I would've picked Dawson over Tarver). Johnson looked very good against Griffin whenever that was a half-year back or so.Originally Posted by Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker
Whoever it may be Tarver or Glen... BCD has to bring his A+ game to the ring that night if he want's to walk out with his title.
I think both Tarver & Glen would test BCD but in different aspects.
Glen - Would test his chin and how well BCD can handle an in your face fighter who can pretty much walk thru anything you throw at him
Tarver - Would test his skills to the fullest from footwork, to jabbing, to countering. It would test his tactical skills.

I would take Glen johnson to win that lil tourney. Tarver looked like his shots werent fast or powerful at all, but he took out Santiago. Kind of was like Foreman on his comeback, deceptively powerful. I think Tarver beats Lacy but loses to Glen, because Glen was on fire his last fight. If that Glen shows up, he's a hard night for any LHW.
