For what it's worth, I actually thought Jones was way out of line and that he was way over-sensitive.
I thought Jones was a very very good announcer, but in that situation I thought Merchant was right and that Jones acted like a brat.

Es booolllsheet! LOL Chavez wasnt about to have anyone call him a punk. Merchant and all the commentators should know not to fuck with a fighter after a loss.

Here's the youtube clip. Basically, it's the 4th round of Morales-Pacquiao I. While Morales was winning, it was a very competitive fight. Jones tries to make it seem like Morales is killing Pacquiao, Merchant just starts to explain that he thinks that's an overstatement, and then Roy cuts him off and starts whining.

Although this is a great Larry Merchant moment, I feel that Jim Lampley swooped in there with the perfect line and stole the show. "Well, we finally got some drama." LOL!!!

I love the Chavez moment. I saw it for the first time about a year ago and as soon as Merchant said that I was like "shit, when Chavez gets the translation for that he is going to be pissed" and I waited for his reaction. His reaction was even funnier than I anticipated.
