Ali showboated impeccably early, but as you stated it was very psychological and furthermore he often he adjusted his position in the ring whilst showboating.

Roy jones is by far the biggest showboat in my eyes, but he is classy with it, the behind the back K.o, the rooster impression on Toney, his take on the Ali shuffle, winding up his right hands, the list gos on but he learned these tricks from the great show boaters of the past and put his own take on them.

Tapias fight with Henry Martinez was a CLASSIC showboat example.He fought like he was possessed,Jumping,yelling,Bolo,ETC.One of the craziest displays ever from him.

One reason I like Floyd so much is because of his demeanor in the ring; he doesn't do that b.s. showboating stuff; if he did I wouldn't be able to watch. He acts like such a c#ck outside the ring, but when he steps inside, he is as focused a fighter as I've seen, and professional almost to a fault!! Guys like Augustus were more interested in playing games than truely getting to business, and though Augustus was a very good fighter, I don't know how many fights he lost either because the judges got turned off from it or because his opponent just spent more time fighting. Another fighter that shows off too much is Jason Litzau. That punk has talent but he will keep getting ktfo because of his b.s. games.

You must have missed his fight with Bruseles

That wasn't hardcore showboating, and that was a warm up fight.

The greatest showboater of all time was a 1950's wrestler called Gorgeous George.

He was the first wrestler to do it, and he was the guy that a young Cassius Clay copied in order to sell more fight tickets. Clay was the first boxer to ever do it ..... thus Gorgeous George is the father of all modern sports showboating and deserves some credit?

When a fighter makes football picks in the middle of a round, thats showboating and disrespecting the opponent at the same time. The Ali shuffle or putting your hands behind your back is just showboating.
