Taylor, if he gets over his loss. Taylor vs Kessler would be a good fight IMO.

kessler with no doubt in my mind, someone that will be one to watch is Lucian Bute, he may be inexperienced, but he is no slouch.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
kessler,pavlik,or bute
quite surprised nobody has mentioned jeff lacy...i know he doesnt have the skills but he is technically sound, with good defence and he has a knockout punch, good candidate.

I'd say Kessler. I don't think he got exposed at all in the last fight, it was simply a case of Calzaghe fighting a great fight and proving himself the better man.
If Calzaghe were to leave 168 for bigger challenges, I have no doubt that Kessler could become the champ at 168.
Well worded CC mate.Originally Posted by SweetPea

Mikkel. Lucian is a distant second.
I agree 100%...Kessler is also young still....28 or 29 and improving.....It was not as if he has anything to be embaressed of...he fought a good fight....Joe had just a little to much for him that night...a home crowd advantage....and Kessler has never been in the situation where he was in hostile territory against such a seasoned fighter.....He has been in the deep water and while he did not win he did not drown either....IMO it was a great learning experience for himOriginally Posted by SweetPea

lol...that hype-job doesn't have the chin to take the punches of the top SMWs, mate...Originally Posted by The Rookie Fan
Nothing wrong with Taylors chin...How do you figure he can't handle shots from the SMW division?....Taylor is a great boxer...Jermain lost himself for a bit...Got too caught up in the hype of himself....became lazy....Pavlik hit's hard as we all know...Kelly has the power to KO any MW of SMW out there including Kessler or Calzaghe...this was not some fly by night guy who starched Taylor...Originally Posted by Decebal

totaly agree, tbh pavlik could put any LHW to sleep if he landed on them, taylor has a cracking chin, hopkins hits hard as hell and could drop tayor.Originally Posted by Daxx Kahn
Kessler howeevr IMO is a much better boxer, taylor gets to lazy, he is much much better than what he has been showing. Kessler would beat him, maybe even put him away late on at SMW

Taylor just developed this lazyness of his around the time he fough Hopkins then he became arrogant afterward...the by fighting smaller guys did not help in keeping him on top of his game....
But when Taylor is on he is a good fighter......And Pavlik has the power to KO just about anyone from 154-175 if he is able to land

Yeah actually Taylor's chin surprised me a bit in the Pavlik fight, he took some big shots.
His defense is more the problem
