True he looked bad. But he is coming off a major shoulder surgery. It could be another year before the tenativeness is gone and the power comes back....You just don't come back fast from those kind of surgeries. True, he could still be a bum a year from now but I'll give him the time to fully recover first.

He could have won this fight on the inside,on the outside, yet as soon as he was knocked down,he was scared to fight. It was woeful viewing. Lacy STILL has no jab and still loops/arcs/clubs his right hand.
For sure that fight sucked. Lacy just isn't there, though he pressed the "action". Manfredo is junk, period. He looked like he wanted to go home after the knockdown, hell before the knockdown. I suppose he'll say he just got over strep throat and he wasn't himself I hope I never see that garbage fighter again. Both need to do something else, though the surgery for Lacy is at least a good excuse for Jeff.
I think I can cut Jeff some slack due to the injury but still, the flaws which were apparent beforehand were still there, such as poor technique on some punches and a totl lack of jab to set up power punches.Let's talk hypothetically, what if that is as good as his shoulder is going to be and as much as he can use the left? That's the best we are going to see out of him!

Honestly,Manfredo looked like he didn't even want to be there. He stared more at the clock than his opponent. He started off well but went downhill from there, considering he was getting a chcne to shine on one of the big PPV undercards of the year,it was truly abysmal.

Yeah...not the way to perform in front of the biggest audience he'll ever be apart of. He kinda sh*t it down the tubes...his career that is..

That was a horrible, horrible fight. Lacy honestly should have taken an easier opponent than Manfredo after such a big lay off and major surgery. He was slow, sloppy, mechanical, his timing was off big time, his foot work wasn't great either. Manfredo was doin okay until he got dropped, then he kinda panicked and decided to run, hold, and look up at the clock until the fight was over. I was really looking forward to this fight and it was total shit. I was disapointed. Lacy is not done yet though, he needs to fight more often though, thats for sure, and shake off that rust.

Does anybody want to see Lacy-Tarver? I don't.

And I really don't like Ponce de Leon, unless he's knocking people out in the first round he bores the hell out of me, so sloppy. I want to see him go ahead and fight Caballero again or Penalosa again.

Ponce De Leon starts out as a power puncher and turns into a volumne puncher by the end of the fight, if he can't knock you out. I still like Ponce. He did his best last night and threw tons of punches. Penalosa would probably beat De Leon in a rematch IMO. But who knows?

Opponents don't come much easier than Manfredo. It's not really the fact that Lacy went the distance. It's the fact that he looked so bad. Lacy claimed to be 100% coming into the fight. "Good as new" as he said. He might be 100%, but that left hook is gone. The surgery took it way. Lacy is done. He's a journeyman now.

Rob Lewis has it about right. Lacy has undergone probably the worst injury in Boxing. It takes time to understand distance againand timing only comes with confidence, give him time.

I'm a Lacy fan for sure. However it goes without sayin that Lacy did not look like he could hang with Kessler let alone beat him. Lacy's young though, he can get back in top form. I'll be rootin for him.

Personally I think Lacy is done, but I'll give him a pass on this one and see what he does next. He better be prepared for Kessler, cause' right now he can't beat him. And then there is Miranda, Andrade, soon to be Taylor, Mack, Allan Green. Could get real interesting at SMW next year, but I think all those aforementioned guys could beat Lacy right now.

As it's the first fight back since the injury in the Typsko fight im gonna forgive him.

However his hesitation to unload was rediculous against the light punhing Manfredo. That was senseless.

man, people want his head on a silver platter.
This was the guys first fight back since major surgery, and he's getting pounced on! lol
It was said that this injury takes 1 year to heal and he was back training in 6 months. Give the guy a break.
