Yeah they are not real fight fans. They no nothing about the game other than that one of their local men was good at it.

Those fat bald dudes probably would have tried to start up violence in the streets if it were in Europe where they can get away with it like after the soccer.

Get shot in States and thats by the locals before the police even get there
No guts ,they wouldn't boo Mayweather or any other warrior or their fans face to face.
Yes. you're brave when you have a gun...
    Yeah its the other side of the same coin;

Some are brave when in large numbers but that bravery turns to chicken soup when they try to stand alone.

CC for that mate, I was fucking so embaressed by that bullshit. To be honest the thing that pissed me off most was that it seemed the majority of people that got fight tickets were FOOTBALL fans!! I wish they'd fuck off and fuck some shit up elsewhere. I was annoyed at hearing so many guys on here and elsewhere not being able to get tickets..these were the real BOXING fans! The thing that made me cringe the most was that Mayweather did a 180 at the end of the match and showed massive class by THANKING the British fans for coming over and supporting their man...To which the Brits cheered?? Do you want to make yourselves look any more retarded?
I had this same discussion with people on Facebook and got gunned...apparently I took the boo'ing too seriously and it was all just a 'joke'. Certainly made me think we're dealing with high IQ people over there!!

I live in America and I didn't have any problem with them booing the flag. Didn't bother me in the slightest, it's just a piece of cloth. And with the way Bush has represented our country I'm surprised more people aren't booing it. I don't think a few people booing a flag is any indication of England as a whole. I think that some people just chose a way that some people find offensive to show their support for Hatton.

Thats well said mate and it would be a nicer planet if all thought and behaved like you.

OVer here in Oz we have a thug mentality by a large number of the crowd, they have been known to throw bottles at the fighters who are leaving the ring etc. Real fight fans dont get that anti the other fighter as they realize there would be no fight if only their own man turned up.
These punks have no respect for the fighters only for their own man so they arent real fight fans in my mind and they wouldnt even speak out of turn let alone boo or throw stuff if it was just them and the warrior face to face.

did anyone boo while the UK anthem played? No..Did the hattonites get escorted out for singing and playing drums? No
They could've extended the same courtesy....

    DAMN...

I have never heard such a bunch of whining sore losers. You are calling her all types of names, but in the same breath no one gets chastised for cheering at all of Ricky's punches that DID NOT land.

Did anyone notice that the dark skinned girl was cheering for PBF, and the blonde girl was cheering for Hatton? Does that mean it was racially motivated? Does that mean we can start calling them names for that? I haven't berated anyone on here before, but please GROW UP!

Let's attack the BS commentators who had the fight as close as they did when Ricky only averaged 6 punches landed per round.

They could have, but I did not find it offensive that they didn't. I really don't think they meant anything by it, other than showing their support for Hatton and showing their disdain for Mayweather.

I know what the flag symbolizes but its just a flag. I don't see the reason to get bent out of shape about it. The people are the real heart of any country, not the flag. But I understand why some people find it offensive.

I watched it again at the weekend and in round 9 when Hatton was caught in the corner and taking shots and hanging on Barrera was going mental in the audiance I think he thought Ricky was gunna go but his face was a picture.

No one has berated her You need to read what everyone actually has said here the subject thanks to me (sorry about that) changed from her to the English crowd booing other fighters and the USA national anthem and then the flag.
She just got mentioned as a point of interest and the conversation grew.
    Have a re read bro.

Re the dark haired ring card girl I didn't like the fact she was going crazy when Hatton got knocked out and then still looked hurt when he got back to his feet. She was loving it and baying for blood. I can go crazy like that during a fight but if I see a fighter looking dazed or flat on his back I'll take time out and will be genuinely concerned for the fighters safety. I just got the impression she was a bimbo who knew fuck all about the art of boxing and just wanted her man to win regardless of whether Ricky could be brain damaged or whatever.

Also re the booing for the US anthem I didn't see it but was embarressed to hear what happened afterwards. It'll probably just mean the Welsh fans will get stick and the anthem booed to hell when Calzaghe fights B-Hop next year. It's a football fan mentality that comes hand in hand with Hatton fights unfortunately. Lacy was booed during his ring entrance at the MEN but there weren't much jeering if any during the US anthem in 2006.

Well I guess all fans get carried away some time and had it been Floyd Ko'ed i would have reacte the same without the chest wobble of course.
