Agreed. It would be an historic fight and winnable for both men.
I see Haye entering as favourite (and the more recognised champ) so I do feel that it will not be in the Millenium stadium should it occur.

boxing talk's got Haye saying now that Enzo turned down 500, 000 and a chance to keep his title if he lost but Haye says Enzo turned it down immediately.

Is that a bad money deal? 500, 000 doesn't seem all that bad but I'm not sure how big a fight it would be in England. Who knows, maybe its just part of the negotiations.

According to something called the South London press

I'm not sold at all on Enzo. I like him, but i don't rate him.

He does have great power but thats the only department in which he can match Haye in.

I think Haye will outbox him before knocking him out.

Haye is a one punch guy although quite a good boxer....
I don't mean a KO artist, I mean he dsoesn't use combination punching at all frequwently.
Maccarenelli does and I feel if Maccarenelli can get his defense in peak and stands chest to chest with Haye, his volume will win him the fight.

How in the hell did Haye lose to an ageing Carl Thompson? He get caught cold? Haye looks a monster at cruiser, and I havent seen enough of Maccarenelli to comment on him. I would give Haye the edge in power, Mac is a natural cruiser. I would like to see Haye invade the heavies but I dont know if he could get by against Wlad and the giants.

Haye started oh-so aggresive, had great succes early, but was drawn into the expierienced Thompsons tactical fight. Thompson traded enough to make him tire early and went in to stop in when he was fatigued and virtually neutralised.

Chalk that one up to experience I guess, just goes to show that boxing isn't all brawn. I remember Thompson was pretty big against Eubank. I think Haye was in to early against Thompson at 10 fights and only having gone 4 rounds max....guess when he got knocked out? 5th round.

Yeah that was the start of the much famed Haye stamina debate...
It could be making the weight that drains him so much although he has seen great improvement in recent fights.

I read that shit to. Not surprised really. Enzo always gave me the impression that he lacked in the heart department.

Personally this will ding-dong back and forth for months before anything gets done I reckon. Haye obviously wants the money that the huge Battle of Britain would bring, but he's also worried about being weight drained once more.

I agree with some of the other posters in that the further the fight goes then the more chance Maccarinelli has of winning. Against Mormeck, Haye was shot and after 5 rounds didn't seem to have anything left. He managed one last rally which won him the fight, but the stamina debate remains open. Either way, we find out the best CW in Britain, and probably the world.

The fight was offered to Enzo at a catch weight which he has turned down.

I cant weight for Hayes heavyweight opponant to be anounced. Brock and Byrd seem to be the names on everybodies lips.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
