Its ridiculous to say Williams would probably beat Mayweather for many reasons
    1. Who has Williams really foughten, Mragarito? Bah he's just an overrated brawler, also his style is nothing like Mayweather's
    2. Who has Margarito foughten like Mayweather?
    3. Mayweather has foughten guys who throw a ton of punches and guys who are tall, and he does well against both.
    4. Mayweather is the best in thedivision and in the sport so its ridiculous that he would Probably lose to anyone near his division.

What Williams does have going for him
    1. He might overwhelm Mayweather with his punch output if Mayweather doesn't use enough footwork, and he won't outbox Mayweahter, but he might just throw so many punches Mayweather won't do enough to win rounds
    2. He is fast and southpaw which is something Mayweather has had difficulties with..
    3. He is good on the inside which means Mayweather has to be sharp all times.
but he doesn't have very good defense, he was stung quite a big agaisnt Margarito who didn't land very many punches that fight, and we don't know if he can keep that high punch rate against a mover, and a guy who smothers you on the inside like Mayweather.

You make some good points Teath but i have to say somthing that you might disgree with but here it goes. Mayweather has not faced anything like PW i mean he has seen parts of him but not the package all at once. As you and me both know styles make fights and PW style i think is just bad for PBF. He has a ridulous reach advantage and he uses it well, can use the jab well and use angles well, height advantge and is a pretty good on the in side. I think PBf would be confused and probably give to many rounds away and find out that PW does not tire and lose by a few rounds it would be competive but i see PW getting a UD and i would bet about 100 bucks on PW if the had it on me and be ok with my bet. But yet again that is me i see PW as the man to beat PBf more so then even Cotto could be wrong but PW i really belive to be the man to beat Floyd if the fight ever happens.

Williams vs Clottey could also be a very good fight.

I don't see that size being all that big of an advantage, I think Mayweather's movement takes a lot of it away, and Paul doesn't ahe the power to keep Mayweather defensive like he was against Oscar, also I think that Mayweather can sting WIlliams because he will be hitting Williams early with those accurate punches he will eventually get to Williams which will slow him down. Also its different trying to keep a high punch number against a mover. Wright's punch stats dropped to half from Quartey to Hopkins because of movement. Duran couldn't get off half the punches he did in Leonard I as he did in Leonard II because of movement. How often was Hearns able to do one of his wild flurries against Leonard? ALmost never because of movement. THe difference is that Hearns was fast like WIlliams, but a far better boxer, with a bigger punch, a better jab, and better footwork. I see Mayweahter making WIlliams miss like crazy. First I would like to see Williams-Cotto because I think Cotto's strength would be too much for Williams and his accuracy and body shots would really hurt the bean pole. Williams could be great, but Mayweather is very great, as could be Cotto potentially.

If not for Leonard power at Welterweight he would not be able to win that fight. Williams will keep it on the out side and jab and move and win on points and Mayweather does not have the power or the inside skills to bully PW around Mayweather is more skilled then Margrito but his power is weaker then his and Willaims was taking it well. I think he just to much and will pull a UD the fight may happen then we all can be sure i be betting on the fight if it does come up and i will do a cc bet or a name bet or a money bet with my friends so i will be waiting for this fight if it some how happens.

What I am saying is that Mayweather blocks the jab against southpaws almost everytime... Williams puts no real power behind his jab, and Leonard took way too long just moving around which is why I think Mayweather adapts quicker because I believe, and he likes to fight on the inside.

But yea but how many rounds will it be till he gets there and if he does how effective will he really be on the inside.

True but were still not so sure what PBF is at the weight so we will see if they do fight.

Who has Mayweather fought with the size, work rate, reach and jab of Williams?

Well, both him and Margarito came in at 145, and they both looked a bit drained if you ask me. Margarito wasnt himself, and Williams was holding on for life in the late rounds, kind of gased a little. He did throw about 100 punches a round tho so you gotta cut him some slack.

Mayweather vs. Williams wont happen just yet. Punisher has to get a little more fame before he even thinks about Mayweather. Right now that fight wouldnt sell the same as the Cotto fight. The logical conclusion would be for Cotto Vs. Williams and the winner gets Mayweather. IMO Cintron is ducking Williams, he doesnt like punishment, Williams would frustrate him and probably stop him IMO. Williams has a good chin for such a lanky guy. When he gets in trouble he just drapes his arms over you or leans on you, its hard to get him down. I dont think he's been down yet...hmm I'll have to check that out.

He could very well be. Remember what Ricardo did to the last tall and undefeated WW he faced........
RIGHT. MAyorga will come to 147 and be exactly the same. please people come on
DO NOT diss the Mayorga. He's the man. WTF has stickboy done? Outpointed Margarito by a little, without ever hurting him?
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
