Cotto fought on the backfoot more than I've ever seen him, in this fight. Mosely was hurting him, dont kid yourselves.

Which means you have not seen most of Cotto's fights. You have seen maybe 6 of his fights right?
Don't make me call your bluff either. Let me just tell you that this is Cotto's first time fighting on the backfoot in some years now. Had people seen every Cotto fight, you would people would have known what he is capeable of doing. Cotto use to fight like this in his early fights I think I saw a change in his pattern something like in his 9th career fight and then he just kept mixing it up add new things each fight and depending on the opponent, he would use different tools.
One more thing Cotto is an excellent SouthPaw fighter more than people know. He just has not showed it. He is holding back on some of his weapons for bigger fish to get caught.

I can post the entire round if you wish. Cotto was never really hurt in this round or the entire fight for that matter.
So unless you can come up with footage that claims he was, I see no real argument from you.

Sure Cotto was hit with some bombs in this fight and he just kept doing what he does. Win.

I have seen Cotto fight on back foot many times, like against Lovemore N'dou and Mohamad Abdulaev etc.
    Dude! You are phuking awesome.
You are like a boxing knowledge of wealth.
Where the hell did you come from?

Don't know why, your post just stand out more now for some reason. Maybe it's the name. he he he. I would hear people still talking about you ICB but I never seen the poster name ICB around anymore. lol

BTW. I was going to watch the Mohamad Abdulaev today and I am now. I was going thru Cotto's career and I am now on Mohamad Abdulaev and I was glad Cotto kicked his @ss because it was Mohamad Abdulaev who stoled Cotto's glory but it was Mohamad Abdulaev who was a man during the olympics won the Gold and then Cotto beat his @ss in the pros Revenge: A Dish Best Served Cold.
    Man did Abdulaev get served

Cotto gave away the fight against Mohamad Abdulaev in the amateurs by fighting southpaw for majority of the fight, but did you see when Cotto fought Mohamad Abdulaev in the pros what he did to his eye ?? it was damn nasty.

When i first came here i used to rush with my posts a lot, but i take my time more now. But you are one of the top posters here Danny i love your work bro and i still haven't forgot about Cotto vs Torres fight you uploaded for me CC.

I have seen at least 3 different versions of Cotto, fighting on back foot countering, wreck less brawling not thinking about defense, and lastly a very patience Cotto who works behind his jab and closes the distance between himself and his opponent, the way he destroyed Sosa who gave Mayweather 12 tough rounds, was masterful to watch he took his time used his jab and just destroyed him.

I also hate when people say Cotto has suspect chin, people don't realize is that he wasn't comfortable at Jr Welterweight and his punch resistance wasn't as good. Thats why he got rocked so many times. If you see him at Welterweight now he is much stronger and his punch resistance is way better Cotto's patience aggression will work better against Mayweather than people think and im Mayweather fan saying this.

Cotto lost to Abdullaeve in the Olympics, but he did not give that fight away by fighting southpaw. In fact, those judges didn't count all of Cotto's punches. I still gave the nod to Abdullaeve, but in a closer fight. Also, I blame Cotto's struggles against Corley and Torres on the bad habits he developed. It seems that at the time he started believing the hype about himself and he got away from being the patient stalker with outstanding boxing/defensive skills and came into those fights strictly as a headhunter. He abandoned the jab entirely against Corley (check the punchstat numbers) and against Torres, once he began jabbing, he was deadly effeective, especially to the body (check out rounds 3 and 4).

I watched the fight the amatuer fight vs Abdullaeve a few night ago and I came away with the same impression that the judges were tripping.
I hate amatuer fights and I hate the way they score bouts.
I guess this is because I am more into pro boxing than amatuers wich is a complete different ball game but I thought Cotto did pretty good against the winner and gold medalist Abdullaeve and I too gave him the nod but my card was nothing like the judges cards.

It seems that at the time he started believing the hype about himself
Not only that, he was trying to hard to entertain and please the crowd. He don't like getting booed but then again who does? It brought Mayweather to tears against Baldomir

We have witnessed too many versions of Cotto but we know he has the tools. Now he has to put everything together and use the tools wisely and accordingly. I think he himself is learning this and in doing so is looking good.
I said we have not seen the best of him yet and I still believe that today.
What really got me was that he did not use his bread and butter against Mosley. I don't remember too many body shots by Cotto in this fight. Makes you wonder, eh, And people thought he was one dimmensional. lol The kid also has a decent flurry. I love flurries and I wish he used them more.
