Yeah, sure. Whoopty do!! The only guy Floyd is avoiding right not is his proctologist. I like Paul Williams, but he's not in the same class as Floyd. You can say that you would like to see that fight, but the only guy out there now with any claim to fight Floyd is Cotto. End of story. I wouldn't be surprised to see Floyd fight Williams a few years down the road at a higher weight division.
Williams may not be anywhere close to Mayweather in talent or skills but he has the height, reach, amongst other things to give Mayweather a lot of trouble.
Diego Corrales and Phillip N'dou both had height and reach over Mayweather. Didn't do them any good
Corrales and Ndou both had much shorter reach than Williams, plus those fights you mentioned where at Super Featherweight, and Lightweight, Mayweather was much better at those weights than he is now. Not saying he isn't fantastic now, but im just saying he had better footwork and he was a lot quicker at the lighter weights. I am big Mayweather fan but if anyone is going to beat Mayweather i believe it will be Williams, his work rate, reach, height, will give Mayweather big problems. And like i have said in the other thread's Williams uses angles very well on the inside and outside, he has a nice variety of punches to the body and head. Its 50/50 match up IMO.
It doesn't matter if Diego Corrales and Phillip N'dou had much shorter reach than Williams. They were longer than Mayweathers. And the they both had height over him. You said Williams would give Mayweather problems cuz of his height and reach. I say Mayweather has faced fighters with both reach and height over him. And he handled them pretty good. N'dou in fact had a similar style to Williams. He threw a lot of punches. And while he was game and held his own for a bit it was still a one-sided fight.
I understand what your saying VD, and i agree but i don't think its just the reach and height, its the angles Williams uses on the outside and inside. The variety of punches he uses. Plus he puts his punches together much better than Ndou does IMO. Plus Williams has underrated boxing skills, it will be great to see Mayweather trying to solve Williams style.

While we are on the subject of Mayweather vs Ndou i got to tell you thats one of my favorite Mayweather fights. Because Ndou almost had 100 percent KO record and Mayweather stood toe to toe with Ndou and it was great fight. That 5th round was one of the rounds of the year.

Yes I agree Williams does put his punches together a lot better than N'dou did. And he's a better fighter than N'dou was. But I think Mayweather solves his style and beats him comfortably on points. Something along the lines of 116-112.
