Well said, I thought I was the only person on here capable of seeing this.

To use an analogy, it's like a school with a huge bullying problem, with certain big kids beating the crap out of little kids, taking their lunch money and stealing their phones and ipods.

Then a huge crackdown and zero tolerance is implemented to ban the bullying and everyone is told to behave or else.

If the former bullies were then in those circumstances to say something nasty to the white kids it would very likely be seen as threatening in the light of past bullying behaviour.

If the bullied kids were caught making comments however, although they would probably be told to behave for the sake of peace and harmony their comments would not be considered bullying but rather a result of the bitter aftertaste of having being bullied.

Unfortunately most people on here (and in the world) seem to think that since we have 'in theory' created equal rights and anti racist laws now that the sins of the past should be completely erased and forgotten and that any past grievances should be 'gotten over'.

They think that now we are all the same and equal with the slate wiped clean and so any language or negative behaviour used by either side should be viewed through the same distorted lens.

Unfortunately in real life history cannot just be forgotten or erased and resentment and bad feeling between races will likely linger for hundreds of years.

I know Lyle will be all over this and tell us how HE has never been racist but that is completely against the point.

The history of the world and the human races does not begin and end with each new generation it is an ongoing continium.

Hopkins is athletically gifted and in tremendous shape for 40+ but a deteoriated fighter from a pure skill standpoint, he has supplemented his waning skills by using questionable tactics and is nothing more than a hold and hit fighter who resembles MMA clinches more than boxing matches.

He should have retired after the 2nd Taylor loss. Then he moved up to 175 to fight Tarver and really started to employ the over excessive hitting and holding tactics.. No one really cared because it was Tarver and everyone hates the guys guts..The Winky fight really had me hate Hopkins and his boring 5 punches a round and only 2 are legal. He uses these tactics now since his skills arent there anymore...

That quote of yours pretty much sums up the lunacy of the argument in my mind. He could have made a personal attack on Calzaghe and you would have been fine with it but because he made a vague generalistation applied to nobody in particular you take issue with it.

Well if it wasn't for the past actions of white men there wouldn't be any 'racism' to get up in arms about and remark about colour would mean no more than a remark about height, weight, physical appearance, educational background etc.
