To be honest Kahn and Hatton are pretty good mates and i'd get the impression that they wouldn't really be that 'up' for fighting eachother......especially when there are tonnes of other options out there.

I vote the 'Hatton out of retirement to fight Khan' as well. Neither Warren nor Khan would like to get in with Hatton in the immediate future. Sure, perhaps if Hatton actually loses his next fight or two - but then, he will not be the super draw he is now anyway.

But a fight in, say, 2011, when Khan is an established world name, perhaps coming off his first loss, and Hatton has been out of the ring for 18 months - that would make helluva lot of sense.

(Only problem is that with Hatton's usual bulk up between fights, he is quite likely to go the the Naz way after actually retiring. No way he will be fighting below 147 at least.)

Will reserve judgment till I see Ricky in the ring again - how much of him has been left behind in the ring in the MGM is the big question for me. Will he still be around in two years if he sufferes a bad loss again ??

And as for Khan - I see him getting beaten sooner rather than later.

Maybe after they are no longer threats on the world stage (Khan has yet to prove he is a threat) the two will cash in on a mega British showdown - Hatton for his final pay day and Khan for his biggest career payday which will set him up nicely.

Thats the only way I see this happening

Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

i know kahn has been down to ricky's gym to train with him and he goes to Ricky's fights to cheer him on. They always have great things to say about each other so i'd presume they are.....

I will agree with VD on the fact all this talk from Ricky on how he is dealing with the loss makes you question his mental state....In another fight will he start to break down the moment he is in a bit of turmoil?....If he is OK and is able to deal with the loss mental wise...Kahn has no chance anytime soon

He's only been a pro two years and he's already the Commonwealth champ! Providing he doesn't lose he'll be British and European champ for this year and then a world title would be likely in 2009.

He wants his shot before July to beat Naz's youngest every British world champ record so it may even be possible that should a miracle occur and Gavin Rees actually wins his upcoming title defense Khan may get a shot at him.

Never gonna happen. Who knows....Warren might have put a clause in the contract that if Kotelnik wins he has to fight Khan in London first. If that's the case, its a sneaky underhand way to get a world champ.

Khan is nowhere near hatton's level. I think Hatton will fight Paulie, and maybe a no name fighter. he could fight Ricky after that, but i still think he would be destroyed. As for anyone saying witter would beat hatton - it aint even close.

As a big Ricky fan I have to say, it is close. Ricky's confidence has been severely knocked and he's gone on a bender in Tenerife. I'm not sure if Ricky will be back renewed and better than ever I hope I'm proven wrong though.

No am saying i don't think either fighter will particularly want the fight.

Kahn won't be ready for maybe another 18 months and even then Warren won't risk putting his money-train in with Hatton until he is absolutely certain he won't lose. Imagine the embarassment if he lost (considering the history with Warren and Hatton).

So yeh the only chance of a possible fight is when Hatton is well past his best.....and by that time i think he would be smart enough to hang em up anyway, so i can't see it happening.

I think people are going way over the top on this Khan hype. He is a good prospect and has some skills, but to say he could even compete with someone like Hatton who is a monster at 140 is far too premature, Khan has already been down twice in his career from fighters who can't crack an egg. His chin is still a big question mark and all of his opponent's so far have been slow plodding feather fisted opponents, or have been scared and fought pathetically. I give Khan credit for the Earl victory but even Earl looked completely shot IMO.

I don't think you can come to the conclusion that a fighter is shot when the fight barely lasted a minute.

I think he got caught cold personally.

I never really rated earl to begin with tbh. He only beat Romanov because Romanov was so ring rusty and poor.

His prospective match up with Tahxton is off the cards for some reason (Kahn withdrew from pursebids according to sky sports.)
