Risky fight for Margarito IMO. Judah can beat him although I think Margo will be a favorite. If He loses to Judah, he'll never get a shot at Cotto or Floyd. He'll have lost to a guy they both beat handily. If he wins I'd like to see him rematch with Williams and then shoot for Floyd or Cotto.

Judah, what can you say. All the talent in the world, if he could only put it together and stay focused. Talent wise he is as good as anyone and could beat Margarito.

This is a fight I'd pay to see, should be very interesting.

    CC Legion...

I think Zab's best asset is a good uppercut but Margarito showed very close defense with his hands in fight against Williams. Zab's a talented fighter but he doesn't fight well backwards and can be discouraged to the point of being taken out of contention.

All Tzyu did was land head shots. All Tony does is test that fuckin chin.

That said I'd gladly pay to see this thing...

as much of a great boxer zab is he loses focus when pressured, and what margarito does best is pressure, move foward and throw punches. if zab can't keep his focus i believe margarito beats him by tko victory or decision.

if zab wants to beat margarito by decision because he cannot ko margarito, he would have to stay on the outside, use his speed and accuracy to try and keep margarito off and stay focused no matter how much he is pressured.

WOw...this is like the first topic where theres actual support for judah, well atleast not as many ppl bashing him.

i think that if judah changes his strategy and trainer (his dad), he is able to win.

he shouldn't use all his strength in the beginning and start to fight in teh mid rounds, his fighting fades after the 4th round,
i like both fighters, and i hope they both win, but i think this is a desperate point for both fighters. judah loses his career is probably over, and his ranking is jsut goin to fall, if antonio loses ppl probably going to give him one last shot, and if he loses this fight and the next hes in the sameposition as judah is now.

thats my thought...w/e lets go judah
i'll just watch the first 4 rounds and turn the tv off...lol
    mind over speed and power

Margarito has held a world title at Welterweight and made 7 defenses i believe. And except for a close decision loss to Williams who is a freak of nature at 6 foot 2 with a Heavyweight reach, plus is one of the top 3 best Welterweights in the world at the moment. Margarito hasn't lost at Welterweight in over a decade when people call him a journeyman fighter or overrated i really don't think people know much about Margarito's history.

Judah by brutal KO in the 6th.
If Judah could pull things together mentally for one fight, he could certainly win a points decision, but I would be absolutely stunned if he scored a KO.

I have been saying for years now...against everyone he has faced since the Spinks loss....Including PBF and Cotto that if Judah can keep his head together he canm beat them...I still stand by it...but fact is I don't think Zab can keep it together.....I say Judah gives Tony problems for the first 5 and once Tony gets in a rythm he takes complete control and ends it by the 8th or 9th
Even if Judah "can keep his head together," he has no chance whatsoever. He is simply physically inferior to Margarito and Judah is not hard to hit, based on Baldomir's success and everyone Judah has lost to who has been considered slower. Judah is a "smaller" welterweight and Margarito is simply a beast physically at 147. Margarito, TKO 4-5 rounds.

This should be a good fight. I think it'll look a lot like Cotto-Judah early, except I don't think Zab will be able to hurt Margarito like he did Cotto. IMO Margarito is going to break down Judah and stop him in the mid-late rounds. Zab has the ability to win this fight, but I don't think he's going to.

CC, I agree - Zab will fight anyone. I am by no means a Zab fan, I don't think I've ever wanted him to win a fight, but he has enough talent that he should have won more than one of those big fights. He just doesn't seem to have the mental capability to actualize his full potential.

When Judah is on point ( which is Rare to say the least)...he has the goods to beat anyone...at minimum put them in a hell of a fight...

Margarito is always being overlooked...For some reason people do not want to give him his due....Now if he walked around talking about himself in the third person,,talked shit all day long,,bragged about his ability non stop...well then they would love him

Nonsense..Judah has FAR superior hand and foot speed to Margarito. IF he fought a disciplined bout, he could absolutely win a decision. That said, he has never shown that he could fight a disciplined fight beyond 6 rounds, so I would favor Tony to get the win, probably by TKO. BUT, if he "can keep his head together", he no question has an excellent chance.

Why does Judah keep getting chances at redeeming himself?

How is he still in the mix at welter?

This is a no-win for Margarito. If he wins, who cares? If he loses, he'll look like an idiot and get pushed down the ranks.

It should be: PBF, Cotto, Williams, Cintron, Margy, Mosley (in no order) who should be fighting each other for the top prize. Why is Judah still in this?

I credit Judah for taking this fight.

A spin off resultant may be that Williams fights Cotto.

Has this fight been confirmed? I posted a similar thread a couple weeks ago, but up to that point it was just speculation. Someone even said it fell through.

I ain't Zabs biggest fan but I like watching him fight. His fight with Cotto was brilliant. I know I wanna see more of him if he can show that kind of heart for every fight.
