Are you also calling it a robbery?
I know JTRock is and would like to read why he thinks it was a robbery. I would also like to see a round by round scorecard from him.
Exactly. The word robbery gets thrown around way too much. I love this debate after fights:Originally Posted by CutMeMick

Look up the definition of robbery and you get Burton-Augustus, not close fights like this.
I think my comments reflect what has already been said. My initial reaction, without scoring the fight was that, herman won. I watched the fight again and had Herman 115-113 but there were a number of close rounds that could have gone either way. I therefore do not see a 115-113 to Paulie as a robbery. Fortunate maybe but no robbery. 117-111 is a disgrace and Larry Hazard can not even be blamed for this one. There ought to be more people leaving the New Jersey commission with scoring like the above.
Tip of the month: Protect yourselves at all times. You never know when the scheming bitch will come back for more.
I gave it to Herman by a round.....Not that Herman is a better fighter then Malignaggi just Malignaggi performed like S***....I won't call it a real robbery...I have seen worse...Much worse....
Actually let me edit that a bit....I don't think giving Paul the decision is that much of a robbery I have seen worse...I do think that having him ahead by 4 rds on one card is a travesty

I saw the fight for the second time this morning and I gave Herman the last two rounds and finally, a draw. Interesting tidbits about the fight: a) I thought Herman scored a knockdown in one of the early rounds when Paulie's landed on his gloves and knees. The announcers said their feet got tangled, but I did not see that and although Paulie was indeed off balance, what sent him to the canvas was a punch to the ribs, which, with Paulie's off balance momentum, made him fall; b) The round where Paulie was staggered/hit hard could have been called a 10-8 round-that's how dominant herman was in that round.
