Wacko I don't wanna get into a big debate with you as you're one of the guys I most respect around here but all I was implying it to VD is because he hates British fighters for no reason, another thing when I say US fighters ducking I did mean Hopkins not fighting Calzaghe years back, Cunningham not fighting Enzo etc and when they do come over here and get their ass beat they start moaning, Vivian Harris, Jeff Lacy etc and I wanted to show that UK fighters will travel anywhere and fight the best i.e. Clinton Woods over Jones JR, Hatton over Collazo, Hatton over Floyd, Haye over Mormeck, Calzaghe over Hopkins now etc.

i would guess most of Hattons fans do also... It's a fight i would like to see more than any other for Hatton.

Witter is prob more known in the US than alot of the names on Hattons record, but regardless of the US it would be a massive event in the UK alone without US revenue.

Also Witter has offered to step in a few times to fight Hatton... The Pinto no show springs to mind.

The only guy who dosnt want it is Ricky... He is ducking Witter but not because he is scared or because he aint a big name... my personal opinion is that Hatton just dosnt want to give him the payday because he dosnt like him. no more no less.

Many people don't seem to realise Witter-Hatton has been about for 7/8 years.

The only people that don't want this fight seem to be Hatton lovers that are scared of him losing.

Kostya, Castillo and Mayweather. Only three names in 44 fights rate above Witter. But he needs to prove he's "worthy" Sickening excuse.

Ricky's excuses have turned me from wanting him to smash the shit out of Witter to wanting Witter to beat him (could possibly have a change of heart should fight ever happen ).

I myself am unsure as to the hesitation in this fight.

Billy Graham is an astute trainer, perhaps he is aware of the stylistic consequences. Win lose or draw a fight with Junior will be an ugly one for Hatton and will be by no means crowd pleasing. At this stage of his career Hatton again finds himself necessitating a fight in which he can make a stamen. Similarly to the Holbaek Pederson fight before Tszyu, Ricky now needs a fighter whose style will allow him to be knocked out in an impressive fashion and confirm once again that Ricky is world class.

Fighting Junior will not provide this pleasure as although I feel Hatton can clinch it, I too feel that the switch hitting awkward style of Junior will frustrate Hatton and result in a dirty ugly fight which could do more damage to Hatton's public appeal than the possession of any title could do good.

surely Lefty you have described what a boxing writers job is what else do you expect them to do. Evans can't be doing to much wrong if as you say you read every word. you might not agree with him but it provokes comment & it's only his opinion

Bro I meant I read virtually every word of that mag because it's cool although I don't like Evans on occasions and especially in this case. I never commmented on what else I expected boxing writers to do I just said thats a wicked job that Evans also like Claude Abrams has got by sitting ringside etc at every big event and how is that critical of them ??, I'm saying they have a cool job. Another thing is Evans does'nt write every article in the mag they have journalists all over the world that contribute so I don't know what your implying when you say "Evans can't be doing to much wrong if as you say you read every word", it's not a one man mag you know.

I did'nt get my boxing news till yesterday i read the letter and i could'nt agree more with Gavin Evans Ricky did get his shot at Mayweather by calling him names and slagging him off Mayweather reacted and Hatton got his shot.Witter has done the same in the past to Hatton but rather than give him his shot and want to shut him up Hatton as been abit of a mardy baby saying he won't fight him for this reason.I believe if they do meet Witter will KO Hatton Hatton got away with his KO loss vs Mayweather because hey it was Mayweather P4P#1 but when Witter does it Hatton will be found out to be not as good as everyone made out.All he has done is beat old names i wish Hatton would just fight Witter deep down the Hatton camp must know Witter is all wrong for them it int because he has a boring style if that was the case Hatton would just fight him stop him and say thats that done him next.Hatton knows Witter could win this this would be 50/50 fight and Hatton likes 60/40 fights in his favour he were'nt favourite in Mayweather fight but who is he did that for money mainly in my opinion but he got his shot now Witter should get his.What better way of proving your still number 1 lightwelter after his loss to Mayweather than fighting number 2 lightwelter Junior Witter.

Cunningham ducked Enzo? Relax kid. Cunningham has proven he would travel any where to fight. He just got back from Germany. Now he's suppose to be scared of Enzo?
