Calzaghe will hurt Roy Jones. Honestly I hope Roy doesn't take this fight......Calzaghe is unrelentless. Roy is great. One of the greatest. But he is gone. He was knocked out by TARVER. Who is a c***. What do you think Calzaghe would do to Tito or Tarver? Think about it.

The punch that landed on Roy in that fight would have ko'ed Calzaghe... Byron Mitchell knocked Calzaghe down. Tarver is a pretty big hitter who landed the hardest shot of his career against Roy at the exact wrong time for RJJ. It was a perfect punch that drops almost anyone without an a titanium jaw. I still think Roy hits harder than Calzaghe, but he just can't keep up with the pace... IF he can stay going forward I think Calzaghe would be fucked because he is too slow and has never had to deal with somebody faster than him. Prime Roy would have wrecked Calzaghe though.

Calzaghe would definitely beat Tito, but not any worse than Roy did the last 7 or 8 rounds of the fight. Also the Tarver that Roy fought would have given Calzaghe a tough fight at the very least... He was fast, big, strong, southpaw. You are forgetting that Tarver was slow, coming down in weight which we've already seen the effects of that with Roy when he fought Hopkins, Sure Hopkins owned him, but that wasn't the same Tarver. I am not saying Tarver in 2004 would have beaten Calzaghe now, but it would have been a tough fight.

Hopkins IMO is far the tougher fight for Joe. Styles makes fights, and Hopkins is a natural counter puncher which I believe is the way to be effective against him. Roy used to be a good counter puncher too, but he depended on his reflexes to deliver them in the day.

Roy did look impressive aginst Tito, but Tito was there to make him look impressive. It was touch and go the first few rounds until Tito got gunshy and allow Jones time to set himself and throw single powerful shots. While I think Roy still has pop in his punches, he needs more time to set himself up to throw them, and time is one thing he will not have against Calzaghe, as well as a breather.

Yeah I dont think we should get carried away cuz Calzaghe is not a washed up welter coming off a loss after years of inactivity like Tito .

Im not speaking about Roy Jones' performance aginast Tito. It pointless.
Im sure Jeff Lacy would give Roy a tougher fight.

Joe Calzaghe would be all over Roy Jones like a bad suit.

Calzaghe is a skilled fighter. He'll make it competitive against Jones. Especially at this stage in Jones career. But he won't beat Jones

Those guys were Light Heavyweights. Calzaghe is not as strong as Tarver so he wouldn't able to do what Tarver did to Jones. And Johnson is a good very underrated fighter. Which is the reason Calzaghe backed out of fighting him 3 times.

i think that Calzaghe has more than proved that he will fight anybody, Lacy, Kessler and now hopkins, people were saying he was scared.. Calzaghe would be even stronger at LH

Lets not forget that RJJ bottled out of fighting both Calzaghe and Collins a few years back, and Hopkins did a little poo in his pants when Calzaghe offered his the fight a few years back..

Calzaghe demanded equal pay against Jones years ago. Nobody knew Calzaghe back than. So him demanding equal pay was his way of backing out against Jones. And as for Jones backing out against Collins? Come on now. Say that out loud. "Jones was scared to fight Collins" Tell me that wasn't just plain stupid to say

no actually i wasnt, i said that i thought that Hatton had the style to beat him, and either i was wrong or Hatton didnt preform to his best! I admit gettin a bit lost in the hype because Hatton had alot of people believing he could do it, but he lost to the best in the world! No shame in that
