I guess I'd take Jimmy; like VD says, he gets right to it and doesn't try to be a main fixture in the event.

I like that dude on ESPN. He has dreadlocks in a ponytail and looks like a speed-freak, but has a good voice

I'm going with Buffer even though I like Jimmy too. Buffer makes me laugh with the things he says and the way he says it. I think he used to take himself a bit too serious but now he seems to say things with half a smile knowing it's a bit over the top. In the Hatton-Maywether fight i knew he was going to say "Somebody's 0 has got to go" and i was strangely looking forward to it. I was even saying it around the house in the lead up to the fight, much to my family's annoyance, they told me to shut up.

Definitely Buffer...a fight just doesn't seem quite as big without him. LOL.

Gotta be buffer..although he doesn't always sound good some of the names just seem strange the way he drags them out. But

    I take Lennon.
Buffer seems to drag the names in the wrong places.

I like them both, but maybe lean a little bit towards Buffer.

Just a few months ago we had this very thread, right?

Anyway - Jimmy Lennon Jr gets my vote, followed by Jimmy Lennon Sr.

Jr. sounds so much like his father.

That said, I like Buffer just fine. But classy Jimmy gets my vote.

I am a fan of both but I guess it depends on the bout. For fights that will be all out slugfeast and we kknow it EG- Vazquez Vs Marquez type bouts...(Just to stop anyone from posting it I know they fight on showtime and it will be lennon it is just an example)...I would like Buffer...The Let's Get Ready To Rumble line just pumps you up for what is about to take place....

Other then slugfest IMO Lennon is classier

Jimmy is the best, Buffer looks like a hotdog sausage with a wig, hes too orange and his voice and lines are just pure cheese.

Jimmy is class, he reminds me of the old time anouncers, he should have one of those pull down mikes to add to the feel

I love the way he used to intruduce tyson

"and across the ring, really needing no introduction the world over, the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, the youngest heavyweight champion of the world in the history of boxing, the former two time heavyweight champion of the world"

It was good and he had respect for Mike but when I used to watch Mikes fights id sometimes think c'mon! but it really did build the tension

I used to like Jimmy Lennon Jr but am now used to hearing Michael Buffer. It just feels like the fight night is not complete without his "Let's get ready to rrrrrrumble"; although he copied that from The Fink.

Actually, I read an interview with him where he admits he stole it from Ali, I think it may have been from the build up to the obvious rumble in the jungle

He deffo said he got it from Ali though
