I disagree Amat. I rarely if ever see Winky on P4P lists these days. You make an excellent point about the titles and not needing unification but Pavlik wants to defend and unify them,so I'd rather see him do that. However, maybe I'm being a bit harsh becaus eI'm not a fan of Wright, maybe it's making me biased. I guess a Winky Kelly fight would at least be intriguing.

Exactly. The titles are unified. Hopkins picked them all up, lost to Taylor, who lost to Pavlik. Just because some of the alphabet gangs took there belts back and gave them to the highest bidder, does not un-unify the Middleweight title.

He should have never taken the Hopkins fight and should have gone after another MW title... He'd still be P4P... I would rather see Pavlik fight Abraham... Cuz he has the ability to. Wright Pavlik would be boring. Nevermind unwarrented. As Al said, what has he done to deserve a title shot right now?

He fought the former champ to a draw, of course, and he's still The Ring #2 ranked middleweight contender, after Abraham.

Not that I'm itching to see this fight either, but I can see where Wright is coming from.

With the quality of opposition Abraham has been fighting lately. I cannot see the fight happening unless:

    1: Fight is in Germany
2: He gets paid a hundred million dollars.
3: Pavlik is forced to wear 100 ounce gloves and be blind folded.

That probably is not even because of Abraham, but ever since the Pantera fight, his management team have been protecting him big time.

The Winky fight might happen as long as Winky does not expect a 5 million + dollar payday. His stock is now reduced and he cannot demand a huge paycheck.

Winky is now 36 and inactive. His last two fights were not tough on him. Pavlik will be tough on him and will test his legs for sure. Can he go 12 against Pavlik? Possibly as he is crafty. But I can also see him in a even bigger defensive shell in the fight than he has ever been in.

Edit: Wow I just found this at boxrec when looking up Abraham:

He is coming to the US to fight. Interesting indeed.
