He would excel in Toughman contests but i think saying he is ready for the belt holders in the division is a bit much. At the risk of sounding crazy i can see him beating Sam Peter because Sam had trouble with McCline. i think Fields swings a little harder and is a little taller. I can actually see him beating Peter for sure. He would not Beat Klitschko because anyone who has a sound background would watch him swing his arms about and make him pay as he fully commits to his swing.
You're CRAZY!!! lol. Fields not too long ago had a back and forth war with Julius Long another tall guy with very little technique. Sam Peter fought Long not too "long" ago, and starched him easily. He'd do the same to Fields.
Well, I guess i don't really see it like that. I mean just because a fight with a mutual opponent went one way.. doesn't mean it will be the same for the other guy that fought the same guy.. I've seen guys that beat the hell out of one guy. They later fight a guy that lost to the guy they previously beat and get startched.. can you explain that? I mean, that's why they fight right? Styles make fights.. not statistics...

Perfect example.. Jameel McCline beat the piss outta Peter.. and McCline lost horribly to Klitschko. Peter knocked Wlad down 3 times.. alot closer fight than when McCline fought Wlad. Now honestly buddy.. You would have called McCline turfing Peter 3 times? Of course you wouldn't and thats why they fight.

You know as well as I do man, that McCline LOST to Peter. He was outworked and outboxed the rest of the fight aside from those 3 knockdowns.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

I am fully aware that McCline lost.. However i also i believe you know as well what my point is here: again, did you think that McCline would deck Peter 3 times? Do you know how close that fight was to being called off.. he was almost dropped a 3rd time. I think your avoiding my point.

The one thing I wonder about this guy is why he hasn't increased the level of his opposition? Hasim Rahman, Eddie Chambers, Calvin Brock, etc are all out there and he's fighting Roderick Willis? I could see if he had only been fighting for a couple of years and had about 10-15 fights but he has been a pro since 1999 and had 41 fights under his belt when he took that fight.

I mean if he just wants to be a guy who fights than that is fine, but if he wants a title shot he should be looking to do more to get notice and get experience with decent competition. And he is not going to accomplish that by beating guys like Roderick Willis.

I really don't think that the Camp of Fields (at least if they are worth their salt anyhow) believe he will ever win a world title...IMO at first they figured with his size and work rate they could make something of him but it has become obvious he is as far as his skills will allow....So why not make money off the train while it last...I put him in a Peter McNeely catagory...Local celeb nothing more nothing less

Well you would be shocked to know, according to Bob Arum, Fields kicks Peter's butt everytime they spar....
