Hopkins was a tough cookie, but theres no way calz lost that.
He came down from a knock down in round 1 to start dominating the fight at the end.
So you score it the same as the bias african american female judge?
I gave it 115 to 113 calzaghe.
Calzaghe clearly won rounds 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12. You cant give those rounds to hopkins or even a draw.
That means even with the knock down in the first hopkins can only score a max of 5 rounds against jc.
I suggest you check the fight again mate, no offense to you but i cant see how you can not give joe those rounds![]()
ICB please watch round 10 again!
Please watch when hopkins and calz go toe to toe and you will clearly see bhop getting rocked and all over the place and have to recover by clinching!
Watch that round again mate then youll see that lathough bhop throwed the better punches early on, claz caught him with some decent powerful shots later on and rocked him quite badly, bad enough for him to look like if he took more he woulda gone down...rounds 10 and 11, watch them again mate![]()
Well, in fairness to the Hopkin'sfans, if you count all those illegal blows in Nard's favor, Nard wins.
Hopkins didnt need to start being dirty like that, the replay clearly showed they werent low blows.
What about the headbutts and clinching from bhop?
If they were low blows then bhop got exactly what he deserved tbh...the amouny of illegal head butts he used and constant holding evened it out.
For heavens sake, hopkins headbutted calzaghe right infront of cortez on one occassion yet nothing was done!
What a bunch of sore losers
You are acting like B-Hop
JC didn't beat America he beat an American fighter LOL and did the macarena on his ass!!!.

calzaghe did not dominate the fight, i hate when people use the word dominate. dominating a opponent is like lacy- calzaghe, hopkins- trinidad or winky- trinidad. calzaghe i felt lost the fight, he was not the same joe in there, the fight was close but bhop should of gotta the fight. i felt he won.
lets be fair here and tell it how it was. most of the rounds bar the first round were difficult to score. what was plainly obvious was how hopkins would try and stop calzaghe working on the inside. cortez who Im rapidly losing respect for seemed to turn a blind eye to hopkins using his head. at one stage hopkins did it right in front of him and cortez did nothing. hopkins fought the crafty fight we knew he would do trying to counter joe with his right hand. you could argue that the decision could have gone either way. Personally i had calzaghe winning by 2 rounds. Calzaghe was always the fighter that forced the pressure and maybe thats what swayed the fight in his favour in the eyes of 2 of the Vegas judges.
Go to disagree with you bro! Close fight, but how can it be a robbery when the largest score for hopkins i have seen by anyone worth listening to is 114-113 Hopkins. A single round? hardly decessive.
Personally i don't think you can win a fight if everything you do is purely reactionary to the other mans strategy, especially if you are getting outlanded 2:1. At no point in the fight did Hopkins try to win the fight decisively, even when joe touched down in the first he sat back when he could have possibly tried to inflict further damage.
Joe was the more aggressive, outlanded, and outworked Hopkins. Hopkins scored a few good shots, put joe down, cuddled, fouled and pretended to be injured.
Only one winner my friend. and the judges agreed.
i don't see how they gave it 115-112 and 116-111 to calzaghe, thats to wide for me and doesn't add up. i think we can all say that those who said a hopkins in his prime would clearly beat calzaghe where right. it wasn't until the last 4 rounds that joe started moving a bit once b-hop got tired, i think hopkins would even have stoped him in his prime. i honestly didn't see calzaghe do anything that shows he clearly won the fight, he looked very uncomfortable and perplexed in the first 6 rounds while missing so many shots, i friend of mine not a big fan of boxing even thought calzaghe was doing ok for a 43 year old man, when we told him it was the other guy thats 43 he ws suprised
