Now that I think about it if Haye was an american it would be Ivan Drago vs Apollo Creed looking like he was humping the canvas.

Thats for certain....Vitaly could take a shot!!!!!....His power was that of Wlads (Wlad was just more polished)....And Vitaly unlike Wlad had no problems with accepting a shot to deliver....Not a guy ANYONE would be in a rush to go toe to toe with...Lennox had to make it an ugly fight to avoid disaster....
I pick Wlad in this one by KO but if it was Vitaly I would pick him by Fatality![]()

You guys are ridiculous..... He fights a 200lbs and struggles to make weight at Cruiser, so you act like he is a Welter moving up to Lightheavy or something....
Dont be suprised that the extra weight will add stability like it did for Cotto going up to Welter...
I don't think it is something tonthat extreme what so ever....And the smaller heavy's who range from 215-230 and stand 6'2"-6'3" etc is fine but Wlad is a whole lot bigger....He is almost 6'7" and averages 240, same for some of the other big guys in the division...
McCline is 6'6" 260, Valuev is 7'...Peter is only 6' but his mass is huge...Thompson is 6'5", ....And the other heavys that are in the range I mentioned have been taking shots from other big heavy's and are accustomed...Believe it or not that means a lot...size alone is not the factor...there is a big difference between taking shots from men that big and men averaging 6' 195lbs

Vlad stops him imo
IMO at this point he has been gone too long...It has been 4 years and he is 36...by time he had a few tune ups and got back into forum he would be 38 or so and ready to retire again....I thought he was going to rule the HW division for as long as he wanted to when he became champion....
He had become so much less robotic and started to move freely in the ring....he dominated his opp to the point where it was nothing more then one sided beatdowns...He toyed with Williams and Sanders...half the time did not even bother to put his hands up for defense...Funny thing is his jaw was actually that good where no fear of being put out by 1 big shot..by even the best of punchers...
at 6'7 1/2" and averaging 250lbs without an ounce of bodyfat on him...a record of 35-2 with 34 KO's and while both losses are by KO on record no one ever put him on his ass to be counted out...Both were by injury...The shoulder in a bout that was a gift to Byrd and by one of the worst cuts in the sports history in a fight that he was winning on when facing one of the divisions top 5 all time greats...Yes Vitaly was a bad bad man...he would have toyed with the division today...He would have retired out of sheer boredom

To be fair if Haye does fight Wlad he may very well die in the ring.
I really think Haye believes everything he says, he's a confident boy and certainly wants to take on the best. His last couple wins have seen him get a bit delusional though. He's good friends with Audley Harrison and is starting to sound more and more like him, even his voice is similar.
He thinks he's the greatest non American cruiserweight of all time, second in greatness only to Evander Holyfield.
In reality all he's done was beat an old Mormeck who has a history of gassing in fights and had been KTFO by O'Neil Bell two fights prior.
Then he took on the mighty Enzo Maccarinelli a decent domestic level opponent who got KTFO by an unknown club fighter in Lee Swaby and went life and death in his first fight with Mark Hobson.
He's not the greatest cruiserweight ever apart from Holyfield, in fact with his defensive frailties I wouldn't even see him as a favourite to beat Steve Cunningham.
He's cruisng to get a bruising and imo will be stopped well before he ever gets to face Wlad in the ring.
I'd like to say I hope I'm proved wrong but that would be a lie.
I'd love to be proved right and see his delusional ass knocked to the canvas as he endures a Zab Judah/Ricky Hatton comedy style knockout loss that Violent D will have as his avatar for the following few months, at least until the Hatton Floyd rematch![]()
his day has come and gone, after lewis retired vitali had the chance to cement his place in heavyweight history.
Unfortunately there was nobody out there to fight, watching vitali beat up bums like sanders/williams was almost cringeworthy!!
Will still remember with great fondness the first time i ever saw the guy fight against herbie hide. Hide talked up the fight like no other and claimed this apparent unknown was going to get hurt badly.
1 minute into the fight and herbie was dumped on his arse by a devestating flurry of punches and the fight was as good as over!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
