Tam told me Carl Froch. Pride of Boston told me Sergie Mora. We are screwed.

there is no doubting cotto's abilitys as a boxer -but he ain't exactly got it on the mike. look at the list from the original poster - these are all guys who could talk the talk so to speak. (ok perhaps not tyson but he had don king to do it for him i guess?) look at the most famous boxer of all time - ali - his promos are stuff of legend. So my point is to be a mega star boxer - you have not only got to shine in the ring but also on the mike. there will be loads of people out there who ain't got a clue about boxing but will buy ppvs just to see floyd get beat cause of all the trash he talks.

Tito was no verbal genius and look how popular he was.....

As far as anyone who appeals to the public outside boxing like DLH or has made himself known to the public like PBF has (Mostly due to wrestlemania and his P4P ranking but still not a known name to the common fan)...It is hard to say...at the moment I really see no one being a face for boxing to the masses so to speak.....The names I mentioned I was speaking as superstars within the sport only

Cotto IMO is going to be the biggest name in the sport after DLH/PBF etc leave....He will be the next Trinidad popularity wise....
Hatton has 5 more fights in him max.

Those 5 fights can stretch out 3 years you know that as well as I do...

I was going popularity wise though not longevity
I worry about him in term of whats left in the tank.

As an avid fan I've seen a decline in him for a while now, he needs to adapt to the change in his body (much as MAB did)

But I'm not sure Daxx, I think the sooner he gets his final fights out of the way the better.

Weird, hoping your favourite fighter will hurry up and finish.

I hope its Amir Khan, got the skill, ability and is a decent lad but only time will tell on that one.

Hatton always gonna be popular but hes not the next in line wise after ali, tyson, mayeather imoa.

Cotto, but needs that defining fight against a big name like dela hoya or pbf.

JC careers nearly over and hopkins is so cant use them.

Pavlics a good shout but cant see him taking the crown.

Kessler!! thats the one. Really like this guy aftyer the jc fight, is a likeble guy and a fantastic fighter, you never know.

1 thing though, i dont think were gonna see fighters like, ali, tyson, mayweather anytime soon. If you hadnt already noticed they are all black and i think only the black fighters can bring that sort of charm and charisma into the ring, well not tyson but the other two. And there arent many top tear black fighters around these days due to people in genral moving to other sports. I couldnt imagine a white, or mexican etc fighter entertaining like ali & mayweather.
