I love hearing some saying how Diaz is not a big challenge and even how some said Daiz is gonna give Manny sone real problems.

All I say is Manny Pacquiao done the Job!

He was real good the best in the world at the moment.
LOL, he wasn't a big challenge, I said that months ago on this thread and it was a brutal mismatch. Pac doesn't need to dominate a guy like Diaz to show his greatness.
It wasnt as big as fighting a JMM but it was a feat by itself by knocking a guy like David Diaz out cold. David Diaz was stopped by Kendall Holt but not in this fashion and IMO it was a premature stoppage(Holt fight) so technically David Diaz was never really knocked out.

Pacquaio looked very good. He could have been sub par and still won but to his credit he was sharp and beat the crap out of Diaz. But I never once thought of Diaz as a big challenge, that's all I'm saying.

I was watching the Cotto Vs. Mosely fight this weekend and Emanuel Steward asked Max Kellerman "if Mayweather refuses to fight the winner of this fight, do you still consider him to be the best P4P?" Kellerman said "Yes I do" and Emanuel Steward was not pleased with his answer.

Pacquiao looked great against Diaz, similar to Mayweather Vs. Gatti. Pacquaio has taken on and beaten Morales, Barrera and Marquez who I accept were not at their absoloute best (apart from Marquez) but all 3 at the time were considered top ten P4P fighters, Marquez still is.

I can't say the same about De La Hoya and Boldimor, yes Hatton is considered top ten P4P, but that is the only one.

Alot of 'experts' were already stating that Pacquiao is the best P4P even when Mayweather had not retired, this was partly due to inactivity of Mayweather.

I mean Pacquiao is really something, he now is willing to fight Valero (who I know is unproven but still posses KO power) without any hesitation, he then wants to fight Hatton, who I fully believe Pacquiao will KO in 11 rounds.

I can already say when the time comes to compile the variuos lists of the Greatest Fighters/Boxers of All-time, Pacquiao will be rated higher than Mayweather and rightly so!

That's way to hard to tell right now, impossible in fact. For one, neither fighter's career is over for certain. I am still holding out hope that Cotto-Mayweather will happen if Cotto continues winning into next year especially if he beats De La Hoya. I would be genuinely surprised if it didn't if Cotto beat Margarito and De La Hoya.

But even so, no telling what if anything Pacquiao can do at lightweight. Say he goes out early next year and loses to Hatton? Then what?

It's impossible to tell. In terms of skills, Floyd is one of the best we've ever seen imo. That's something that is going to carry him above all others in this generation when it is all said and done.

That's my opinion but like I said it is waaaaaaayyy to early to be talking about where they will be ranked when it's all said and done.

pac has had the better oppenents for years, pac hasn't fought anybody in the division he was in that was not on top. You can say eric and mab were past it but they were the two on top of the division while pac was there. Pac is now at lightweight, diaz was not the top guy but still was a champ. Eventually pac will fight the top guy in the many division his been like always.

Floyd in the other hand has not fought the top guys in his division, koysta, casa, spink, cotto, tony. All great names but were all skipped. Sure floyd has had many titles but what pac was doing before he was going after the title was far more impressive.

Pac is clearly the more ambitions fighter, legacy wise. Pac was what? 24 years old when he made his own schedule. He set off to fight 3 great legends in a row.

Took out Marco in 11 rounds, in a way nobody saw coming execpt him and freddy.

Drew with the great Manuel Marquez, in a classic bout between power vs technic

Lost to the great Eric Morales, in another close exciting classic.

Pac came up the be p4p king the hard way, sure he took some licking and lost. But he was the bigger badder man then floyd, pac took the hard route on up. Floyd took the american way, manipulating the media and the so called purist fans to think his boxing skills is so great but yet against lesser oppenents compared to pacs. Well look at pac against Diaz, pac would look like that all the time if he was fighting against that level. If anything I'd compared Daiz to Baldomir, Baldo had a lot more lost but baldo is the last real champ Floyd defeated from his real division. But yet Floyd couldn't scratch the low power much slower baldo if he had a blade with him, by the 11 round people were walking out.

Anyways pac is now 29, since his three great fights with the three legends.

He has avenged his lost to Eric, knock him out twice like a great champ should do after losing a close decision.

Dominated Marco once again, but this time with showing of boxing skills.

Defeated JMM in another close encounter.

On top of that pac is still willing to fight anybody out there, as long as his promoter makes the fight. He wants the 140 title and IMO its no longer a mission impossible task. 140 is prolly the easier division for pac, 135 is stacked. Pac IMO will take hattons belt, then fight whoever from there. I'd prefer him to go back down to 135 though because he can make a better legacy fighting, guzman, casa, nate, or jmm again. This is the difference between floyd and pac. Pac would prefer a division that had more competition but floyd would stay in a division with less competition or if he has nowhere to go he'll pull the retire card. Come on people who does that? Floyd should just stay retired, boxing don't need the games he plays on the sport.

anyway pac is now p4p king, thats all that matters.

If Pacquaio cleans out 135 or beats Hatton then his career would dwarf what Floyd has done.

I can agree with some of those points, EG I do not think PBF is the P4P best fighter this sport has to offer right now.

On a P4P basis I wouls pick Manny Pacquiao over Floyd if both fought in the same weight class (hence the P4P basis comment because it is just not a fight that is possible to be fair on a size differential alone)

I also agree on the wins over DLH and Hatton not being that much of an accomplishment considering the stage of DLH career and Hatton having as much defensive skill as Ricky Ricardo has business being an English teacher...
