From the highlights it looked like Mundine landed easily and Soliman did his usual throwing lots and landing little. Can't see from that how he wins though.

Thanks third man - did you enjoy the fight?
Yes i did in an odd way, I like Soliman's courage in there tonight and he deserves credit for that, Mundine landed the cleaner, quality shots and really was never challenged. Mundine V Abraham is a chance apparently!

That wouldn't be a bad fight. I'd watch that for sure.

It was being talked up post fight, if Abraham beats Miranda then Mundine V Abraham looks on. Good fight for sure, Mundine has matured in the ring, Soliman was at his awkward and unsightly best tonight but it wasn't good enough, Mundine kept his composure well.

Thanks for the RBR, I greatly appreciate it, because we didn't get it here in the states, and if it was on sopcast, I couldn't watch it anyways, since I'm stuck at my shitty a$$ job.

Hows Mundine's hand speed, does it still look up to snuff?

Well thanks again Third Man. Soliman is such a difficult guy to look good against. I'm off to bed as there are 2 days of busy work ahead for me. Nighty night all

Bumdine will still rematch him again.

I'm sure he'll manage to chase Jason De Lisle out of retirement or maybe have a mega showdown with Sakio Bika.

I like Mundine's boxing talents but honestly his resume is littered with more handpicked bums and fruit pickers than Felix Sturm. In fact I'm sure Mundine will probably take on Sturm's last Aussie opponent and the fight will be billed as champion vs veteran world title challenger.

Don't blink and you will miss it kind of stuff, Soliman is hard to hit and if he put the effort into landing some punches like he does in evading them he might win a fight one day!

I am not saying for a minute that Mundine shouldnt be fighting better opponents. He should, but his record after 35 fights has better names on it than either Joe Calzaghe or Ricky Hatton had at the same points in their career....... Something to think about.

Mundine has real skill, he just needs to decided if he wants to risk defeat again by stepping up and challenging world class fighters. If he can comfortably make MW, I'd love to see him fight Winky, Abraham, or Pavlik. I think they'd all beat him, unless Winky has really slipped, but he'd at worst be competitive with all three. Maybe not Pavlik.

Well, there was real maturity with Mundine in this fight, Soliman was trying every evasive move he knows but Mundine stuck to this task, he was patient and didn't go for the KO like the last fight, he is supremely fit and i don't know where he will lose those extra 3kgs to get down to Middleweight.
Mundine will be a formidable opponent at 160 and most guys won't like the idea of facing him. I think the days of Mundine facing average opposition are over and he will now go for gold. Can he beat Pavlik, Wright or Abraham? We will find out this year as i think he will fight one of these guys in the next 6 months.

No problem, it is not easy typing this out when watching the fight at the same time so i hope you didn't mind it being quick and to the point. For me it's like singing and playing guitar at the same time, i could never get the hang of it.
