Is it from 'Fly Fishing by J R Hartley..'?
The Shawshank Redemption was pretty good. That quote was familiar, but it was so distant I was never going to get it without researching. I read The Stand way back in like '97 or so- the unabridged version.
For a great horror read with some nice humor injected in it, you guys should check out John Dies at the End by David Wong. The guy blogged his whole novel and then published it, but you can still read it for free. The sequel is even in there too. One of the best books I've ever read.
Oops
I knew it was Stephen but didn't know from which novel.
I know this one well because "World Literature" was my fav. subject in HS and this became one of my fav. books/stories ever...
"If war produces one thing it's many cemeteries. And in cemeteries there are no enemies."
I'm studying English Language and Literature along with Film Studies in College. Gotta read quite a lot of books for it.
I like the Faulkner quote that goes something like:
It is fortunate that they put love in books, perhaps it couldn't live anywhere else.
"If there's a better chin in the world than Pryor's, it has to be on Mount Rushmore." -Pat Putnam.
Some door price cool clicks?
