Default ** The Greatest 1 round fight in boxing history **

Alright been working on this since the night of Holt-Torres II. After watching that I started thinking where does that fight rank amongst the greatest 1 round fights in history. Again this is fights that lasted 1 round ONLY. So I started looking at my notes, books, fight list and on the net and I started putting together a list. Here's what I came up with, keep in mind I only comment on fights I've seen.
I want to list comebacks, double knockdowns, both guys hitting the canvas and 1 round assaults where punches were flying everywhere....

If you have a fight that you've seen and I didn't list it then add it but post a description of the fight and how it went try to be as detailed as possible and if there's video of it the add it to your post.

    Enjoy!!

The hell with a tactical plan, let's just throw punches and see who can handle the most pain.

ODLH hits the canvas for the 1st time in his career.
So there you are kid, down on the canvas ass 1st your life stops right there and then. You look around and you can see the people but you can't hear anything. What are you gonna do? You gonna stay down or you gonna get up?

    Whatever rocks your boat Spicoli.

If you think those 3 should belong then say it loud, say it proud.

Other fights that I want to mention but did not find videos of.

Bob Foster vs. Frank De Paula - After having Foster down early in round 1, Frank got careless and Foster took over dropping Frank 3 times and having him allover the place. This prompted the ref. to stop the fight on the 3 knockdown rule.

Marco A. Barrera vs. Miguel Pina - After starting off slow and punch from MAB woke Pina up and released the animal in him. Pina went after MAB and they traded punches. MAB lands a double left hook and drops Pina the ref. stops the fight as Pina laid there.

Israel Vasquez vs. Oscar Larios I - Larios was at the time one of the top fighters in the Mexico city circuit but that didn't matter to Izzy as he only had 1 thing in mind, a KO. Larios starts swinging away and Izzy catches Larios with a brutal punch that left Larios laying there minutes even after the bell had rung.
