...he would have done better to catch Tony coming in while Cotto's back was on the ropes and circling out to trap Tony on the ropes throwing a combination tying up and moving waaaaaay across the ring off the break.

But all that moving and punching, nobody could have kept that up along with getting hit in return. The kid has a ton of heart

I did not see any bias. Cotto was winning the entire first half of the fight. At the time he got knocked out, I already scored 7 rounds in the bag for him.

    WTF.
Cotto's punches had nothing "pitter-patter" about them. If you see a head snap back or twist to the side, that's a real shot. Cotto was easily winning the fight by the 6th and I even had him up by a round or 2 by the time of the stoppage. Margarito wore him down, and Cotto was in survival mode.

AND no way is Cotto's punching power in question here. Shane and Margarito are known for their chins and their ability to never be knocked out. Cotto doesn't exactly look to go the distance so fighting Shane and Tony is one hell of a task to take on.

I though Lampley was his usual biased self. But Manny Steward and Max Kellerman was calling it like they saw it, which was even though Cotto was dominating early, Margarito was closing the gap and they weren't sure if Cotto could keep up that pace.

The call last night was awful but the worst i ever heard was Chavez/Taylor 1. Lampley/Leonard & Merchant rode Taylor's nut hard! It was terrible.

It started to sink in after about 8rds that Cottos shot were having little effect and that Cotto was slowly getting broken down thats when they changed their tune and actually showed a Tony clip at the end of the round. From then Cotto knew he wasnt going to win but he kept trying great fighter.

Lamps is a rah-rah boy.He calls shots that do not land...just watch the replays and on a couple of occasions when Kellerman & Manny were starting to call Margarito success,He started boasting and literally talking over them loudly. He reminds me of those old Batman series and the Sound effects...."POWWZ"....."BLAMO" etc .I don't see a grand HBO conspiracy but I can not stand Lampley's phony theatrical thesaurus spouting arse.

Lamps is the same way with Pavlik. I mean I like Pavlik, but during the Lockett fight, Lampley was so over the top in his love, I wanted to barf. I would not be surprised if he rubbed one out in the process.

The reason lampley was crying was because he had his nose so far up cotto's ass, they needed surgery to remove it, and man did the surgery hurt.
