don't judge them by their age
the toughest guys in our gym are about 15 - 18
    including the jr. canadian champ
it's all about skill baby, not age

it doesnt matter what age they are to be honest... there are plenty of 25 year old guys i could beat up, and there are plents of 40 year old guys who could beat me up.
if you dont know as much as them its gonna be hard to win my friend

just keep at it, and if theyr only 15 they cant be hurting you that much!

I'll tell you this; over the years I took my lumps from kids younger than me because nobody would teach me a damn thing. Then it got to the poimnt where nobody would fight me in the gyms . Then I becme the guy thatwould go rounds with anyone- I was 30-35 at this time.
Look, my friend, these young guys tyhat have been boxing since age 9 will slap you around if you let thm. Watch and learn. They will make the same mistakes over and over again; learn them. lay dead for them. Smah them. iT IOS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL INVOLVED: YOU LEARN TO PAY ATTENTION, HE LEARNS NOT TO BE A REPETITIVE FOOL

Sorry bout the caps---too much grog to fix 'em

sorry but i dont agree with that. the way i see it, if you dont use alot of force in sparring youl never know if youve got a good chin. plus, the more you get used to being hit in the chin the better you recover. at my gym our spars are allout wars. most of the alltime greats will also admit that thats the only way to train

having a good chin has sweet fuck all to do with boxing technique though, when lads in our gym get techniqually good enough to compete then we put them in for some heavy sparring, but theres no point trying to run if you can't walk yet, some one whos learned the basics of boxing might benefit from it, but a beginner isn't going to learn a thing except what it feels like to get hit hard.

It was nearly a year before I got to spar at 100% and by then I was fit enough and good enough at boxing to do it, felt out the punches in the first round and then got comortable with it. if all you do is light sparring then your in for a shock when you come to compete...
