Oh So it does help teach when to and not to drop the heel?

I think I wasn't confident enough of my understanding of what I was working when on it to really be as persistant as I should have been!

So I should be able to stop all movement of the wobble board including the sideways movement in the opposite direction of the punch? I don't think I know how to do that - would I then sort of have to break on the pivoting foot?
If your heavy bag is free standing enough, you can work it there,by working side to side. Eventually it will just lock in

Thanks TM - i think i need to get the concepts a bit clearer in my head before I really know how to take your advice here but i'll keep it in the back of my mind.

Plus at some stage once I've got my PhD issues resolved one way or another I'll have to decide on my next gym. No room for a heavy bag in my little unit!
