Exactly, how can we have any idea what to expect, apart from severe ring rust?

That's what I'm putting my prediction on (Peter KO).....sheer inactivity.
    yep me 2

It would be great for the heavyweight division and for boxing in general is Vitali is back and better than ever... if he knocked peter out in rounds 1-3, can you imagine effect? it would be like a shocking the division back from a heart attack (defibrillator).

But beyond an out of shape, back of the head punching peter, who the hell knows what to expect? (i know, let's all keep guessing)

Vitali has to be the overwhelming favourite. greater reach, better skill, fought better opponents. I think SP will be in for a shock when this fight happens. Vitali was kingpin when he left 4 years ago and the division (apart from his brother) hasn't improved. In fact it's in decline.
prediction: vitali KO's peter inside 9 rds.

Sam Peter is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't in this fight.

If Sam wins, he wins vs a guy who hasn't set foot in the ring in 4 years.

If Sam loses, he loses to a guy who hasn't set foot in the ring in 4 years.

The only bonus for winning is that Wlad would more than likely fight a rematch with him in which case I would 100% expect a big time woodshed whoopin beatdown would be handed to Sam Peter.

So Sam can't win....even if he wins

How do you pick a winner in this one? Very tough.

Vitali ain't fought since 2004, has been involved in politics in his home country of Ukraine and is notoriously injury prone.

Peter on the other hand has been lacking focus due to outside of the ring distractions like his wife and her family alledgedly trying to shoot him cos he beats her. (The case went to a court in his home country of Nigeria)

No wonder Peter looked awful against the average fringe contender McCline.

I don't know who wins but its live on Setanta so I'll be tuning in.

No shame in pickin this one wrong mate, there were enough questions about both fighters to really justify any result.
