I wasn't that impressed by De Gale in the olympics. He looks weak, and light weight and I don't think he likes to mix it, and I'm not sure about his ability to take a punch. The Irish kid who he beat in the semi's looks a much better pro prospect

There's not much else to look forward to as far as British boxing is concerned so I'll wait at least till I see him in a ring before I decide whether to like him or not. I wasn't too impressed with what I did see of him. I don't think he'd be very exciting to watch as a pro.

There was virtually no boxing in that final. It really summed up for me the startling difference between what it takes to be a good amateur and translating that to the pros.

not a massive fan of degale, doesnt mean he cant be a good pro though, he used a style that was made for the olympics and it worked a treat, it would take alot but he seems like a great athlete and could be a good prospect not saying he will but he could, let the boy have his 5 minutes of fame, does piss me off when its all about the cash though.

I never even watched him in the Olympics as Olympic boxing is a farce imo but I'm already hoping he gets sparked on his debut.

Winning an Olympic gold has absolutely nothing to do with how good you'll be as a pro, just look a our recent 'successes' in Audley and Amir.

I wish we'd stop showering these guys with riches before they have done fuck all in the pro game
I don't know who this guy is. But I'm buzzed as all hell and yeah FUCK HIM!!!
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
