I wasn't that impressed by De Gale in the olympics. He looks weak, and light weight and I don't think he likes to mix it, and I'm not sure about his ability to take a punch. The Irish kid who he beat in the semi's looks a much better pro prospect

There's not much else to look forward to as far as British boxing is concerned so I'll wait at least till I see him in a ring before I decide whether to like him or not. I wasn't too impressed with what I did see of him. I don't think he'd be very exciting to watch as a pro.
There was virtually no boxing in that final. It really summed up for me the startling difference between what it takes to be a good amateur and translating that to the pros.
not a massive fan of degale, doesnt mean he cant be a good pro though, he used a style that was made for the olympics and it worked a treat, it would take alot but he seems like a great athlete and could be a good prospect not saying he will but he could, let the boy have his 5 minutes of fame, does piss me off when its all about the cash though.
